FORMER STRICTLY contestant Zara McDermott jetted off to Paris in a bid to get over her break-up with former I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson.
The 28-year-old reality star spent time in the French capital with a friend just hours after announcing their split on New Year’s Day.

We also discover that Zara, who also appeared on Love Island, has already moved out of the London apartment she shared with Sam (32).
A source close to her told The Sun on Sunday: “It’s been a difficult time for Zara. A trip to Paris only helped her get away from it all.
“Zara just wants to focus on work and pull herself together. They separated some time before it was officially announced and she now lives separately from him.”
The split comes after The Sun revealed on Sunday last June that their relationship had collapsed following a high-profile break-up that saw Zara pack her bags.
Just days later, Sam was pictured sobbing on The Only Way Is Essex friend Pete Wicks’ shoulder – and Zara was seen crying in the street.
We then revealed that Zara’s Strictly pro dance partner Graziano Di Prima was fired over a video of him kicking her during rehearsals. The pair danced together in the 2023 series.
Zara and Sam, who lived in a flat in west London, spent Christmas apart after splitting after five years.
She was spotted looking sullen in a posh cafe in Putney, south-west London, on Christmas Eve.
An onlooker said: “She looked really down. She was alone, staring into space.”
A source said: “Sam and Zara have called it quits. It was an incredibly difficult decision for them.

“They still have a lot of love for each other. There was no scandal or fallout, it’s just the result of a difficult year where both of them spent a lot of time on their own projects.”
Former King of the Jungle Sam has just returned from hosting I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Unpacked for ITV in Australia.
He joined friends from the reality show Made in Chelsea to see each other in the New Year.

He made a toast saying that he was happy to spend the New Year with them.
Zara stayed at home, posting a picture online with her cat, saying: “Happy New Year.”
The couple were last seen together celebrating Zara’s birthday last month.
At the time, Sam called her his “soulmate” in an online post and said: “I’m afraid you’re stuck with me forever.”
