Zayn Malik Has Rare Public Outing at Paris Fashion Show — and Channels His One Direction Era with Frosted Tips

The singer attended the Kenzo Menswears show alongside Pharrell Williams and Rita Ora

Zayn Malik made a rare public appearance on Friday as he joined a host of stars at Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

The former One Direction singer, who has made several red carpet appearances since leaving the British boy band in 2015, walked the Kenzo Menswear show on January 19.

Malik, 31, showed off his cool sense of style in a patterned navy blue blazer and matching trousers. He teamed the look with a white button-down shirt, leaving the top buttons undone to show off his impressive collection of neck tattoos.

The last time fans saw the “Pillow Talk” singer was on Call her dad podcast in July, and then he had a haircut.

This time he sported an updo with blonde tips, similar to the frosted locks he sported during One Direction. Take me home era 2012 (talk about a serious case of déjà vu for Directioners).

Malik posed with Pharrell Williams, who wrapped his third show for Louis Vuitton earlier this week, and Rita Ora in the front row of the show.

While Malik has stayed out of the limelight, he has been busy with behind-the-scenes projects.

Last summer, he returned to music with his summer song “Love Like This” — his first single in two years — and entered the soft drink business as chief creative officer and co-owner of soft drink brand Mixoloshe.

He balances his endeavors and prioritizes his father’s life. He celebrated his daughter Khai’s third birthday in September. He welcomed a child with ex Gigi Hadid in 2020.

“Since I had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is to be a good example for her,” he told za Call her dad podcaster Alex Cooper. “That’s why I’m doing this interview in the first place, you know? I used to be very anxious about having this conversation. And I want her to be able to look at me and say, ‘My dad does that.’ ‘”

He then found that his bad boy edge had softened since Khai came into his life. “They keep telling me to tell jokes to my dad,” he admitted.
