Tammy Slaton is considering having a baby after losing a significant amount of weight.
In an exclusive PEOPLE clip from Tuesday’s episode 1000 lbs. SistersThe 37-year-old is joined by her sister Amy Slaton during a visit with Dr. Cindy Basinski, a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist.
“I want to see if I can get pregnant,” Tammy tells her doctor. “I want to make sure everything is healthy down there. I had an IUD put in… it was supposed to be taken out in 2016. So it’s still in there.”
“Tammy had an IUD there for about 12 years. I’m wondering, are you sure it’s not permanently attached now? Did it absorb? Can I find it?” Amy, 36, says, laughing. “I think it has a permanent place of residence. It said, ‘B— I’ve been here for 12 years, I’m not moving.'”

Basinski explains the health problems that could arise if Tammy keeps the IUD in place for so long, especially if she’s trying to have a baby. Tammy admits she never went to the doctor to have it removed because she was overweight.
In the clip, Basinski then asks if Tammy and her husband Caleb Willingham are sexually active when the reality star sheepishly shakes her head and notes that Willingham is out of state and living in Ohio at the rehab facility where they first met. “I know being bigger has its drawbacks when it comes to sex, but I can do anything if I put my mind to it,” jokes Tammy. “I’m handicapped, I’m not handicapped.”

Basinski followed up by asking Tammy when her last period was, to which she says she doesn’t even remember.
“There could be a small chance that I’m pregnant now,” Tammy declares. “I was craving strange things that I don’t normally crave… like water. I crave water.”
Both Basinski and Amy look at Tammy in confusion in silence after her answer.
“B— you’re not pregnant, you’re thirsty,” Amy jokes. “You’re just thirsty, f—. Go drink some water.”
