2 Teen Brothers Stabbed Outside N.Y.C. Axe-Throwing Bar, 1 Dead

One teenager is dead and another was injured after they were stabbed on a street in New York City on Thanksgiving morning, according to the NYPD.

The 17-year-old and 19-year-old got into an argument with another group and were attacked outside 96 Lafayette Street in Chinatown around 1:50 a.m., the NYPD told PEOPLE in a statement.

Law enforcement police sources said NY Post that the incident happened outside an ax-throwing bar called Live Axe. The police did not say how the fight between the two groups took place, and there is no confirmation that the teenagers were in the bar either.

Both were stabbed in the torso, the police said in a statement, although the type of weapon was not specified. Sources said Fast that the sharp object used in the stabbing was not an axe.

Police said the 17-year-old, who has not been identified, was in critical condition and was taken by ambulance to a hospital where he later died, WABC-TV reported. Police said his identity is “pending proper family notification.”
