The unique rental is located in the SoHo district of Manhattan
The list of apartments in New York is becoming increasingly popular due to its rather bizarre layout.
The studio is now available for rent in the popular SoHo neighborhood of New York. Selling strengths listed on various real estate websites that show the property include high ceilings, exposed brick and hardwood floors.
But none of these features draw as much attention as the shower – located right next to the kitchen entrance.

Although the square footage of the property at 232 Elizabeth Street is not listed, the asking price is very clear – $3,495 per month.
Earlier this week, an Instagram user named David Okocha, who goes by the name @ocr_realty on the social networking platform, posted a video of him touring a Manhattan property.

“We’re in SoHo checking out what I think is the worst design I’ve ever seen in an apartment,” he said in the video as he entered the complex’s hallway.
As he walked past other units to get to Flat 1E, Okocha warned his viewers that what he was about to show them was “so absurd” that some might be “speechless”.
A real estate tour of the ‘tiniest’ apartment in New York sparked outrage: ‘It should be illegal’
It doesn’t take long for the realtor, who has more than 55,000 followers on the app, to brag about his studio apartment. After a brief panning of the camera, the unit is seen and he asks a question.
“Look at this! Now I want you to guess, what the hell do you think is behind this?” he asked before giving viewers a closer look at a glass shower room with no door or curtain that appeared to have no tiles on the walls.
“Look how close this shower is to your kitchen!” he continued.
Okocha noted that it was “getting worse” because the toilet was nearby, in a small room “with no mirror, no sink, no light”. Just your toilet and window.”

Although he called the apartment “weird,” he noted the three windows that let sunlight into the unit.
However, the windows weren’t enough to sell his followers on the offer.
“Prison for all involved,” one Instagram user commented. Another wrote: “The New York rental market needs to be taken to the Supreme Court for absolute impertinence.🤦🏻♂️.”
According to a listing shared by Compass, the apartment had been on the market for 57 days as of Thursday. The building was built in 1910, and there are 28 residences in the six-story complex.
The minimum lease is 12 months, and the listing adds that “you can’t beat this block” because it’s “conveniently located near the best shopping and restaurants New York City has to offer.”
