Claire Kittle has a PhD in WAG dressing. And now, ahead of the Super Bowl, the wife of San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is revealing her secret to always being dressed to impress — while representing her man.
“I look for pieces that stand out to me and if I love them, I know at some point during the season I’ll put together a look with that,” Claire tells PEOPLE about her inspiration for her daytime look game.
“So it’s not necessarily a look for a look,” she adds. “I kind of just keep my eyes open for what finds me and what I like, and then try to create a look out of that one piece.”
When looking for pieces, Claire, 29, explains that she looks for retro T-shirts and bomber jackets in vintage shops. He adds that since George started playing for the 49ers in 2017, she has amassed an impressive wardrobe of red and gold items.
“I try to find things they had in the ’80s because I think it’s such an iconic look and they don’t recreate that kind of thing very well anymore,” she says.

When it comes to her daily play routine, the University of Iowa student explains that she always prepares her look the night before. For her, there is nothing worse than trying to figure out an outfit together. “I don’t need any extra stress,” she adds.
On match day, she says her makeup artist Arbella Yousif (whom she has become close friends with) will also help her perfect her look with some gorgeous glam looks. Then Claire will complete everything with a simple hairstyle.
“I like a power pony or a low bun or something like that. So nothing crazy on top,” says Claire, who married George in April 2019.

Meet the wives and girlfriends rooting for the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl.
Ever since the 49ers clinched a spot in the 2024 Super Bowl with their NFC Championship victory against the Detroit Lions, Claire admits she’s struggled to come up with travel and lodging plans, along with what to wear to cheer on her husband.
But after a few days of thinking, she reveals she’s decided to go with an all-silver look. She even asked people on her Instagram story to help her find a pair of dangling earrings with her husband’s jersey number.
“I think I found what I’m going to wear,” she says, hinting that it’s a game-day look she’s never worn before. “I need to make a few small changes to it, but it was just delivered to my doorstep probably an hour ago.”
“My entire entrance has 12 boxes that are just torn apart and I went through them all, but I’m excited,” she adds.

Claire also hints that while she and George will often have the same outfits — including their pregame denim sets on Jan. 21 — they’ll be single for the Super Bowl.
“We’re not doing Super Bowl-appropriate outfits this week,” she says. “He doesn’t even know what he’s wearing. That’s my job.”
