The 59-year-old TLC reality star found love again in record time — 24 hours to be exact — after meeting Porscha Raemondo, 29, at a fan meet-and-greet at Capriotti’s sandwich shop in Plantation, Florida. TMZ first reported the proposal.

According to the newspaper, the proposal, which took place while the newlyweds were enjoying a meal, was so impromptu that Big Ed allegedly did not have a ring ready for the special occasion. He used a paper clip instead.
Sources close to the reality star tell TMZ that the engagement is “definitely real.”

In February, Liz confirmed their divorce by going public with a new man after the two broke up with each other more than a dozen times.

“Why does Ed keep saying you’re together??” a commentator asked Liz at the time.
“There must be something in his wine,” his ex-fiancé replied with an emoji shrug.
During PEOPLE’s “Reality Rewatch” in June, Big Ed shared what he missed most about Liz.
“Liz would always do my hair, which was really great. I’m glad they showed moments like this because there was definitely a loving side to Liz that I’ll always miss,” he said.

Big Ed continued: “Liz has always been more sexually aggressive in a relationship, which I’ve often really appreciated. Liz is going to be someone who’s going to be pretty hard to beat in the bedroom, I can tell you that.”
The TLC star was also married decades before he hit the television screen. He was previously married to Sandra Heckman. The ex-husband and wife have a daughter, Tiffany. However, according to TMZ, Big Ed and Heckman divorced in 1992 due to his alleged infidelity.
