90 Day's Jasmine Yearns for Sex and Independence but Feels Gino Is Holding Her Back: 'Why Did You Marry Me?'

Jasmine longs for sex and independence in her marriage, but feels that Gino is holding her back from living her best life.

In the episode of December 9 90 day: last refugesix couples tackled Compromise Canyon, where they were tasked with carrying stones that symbolize the weight they carry in their relationship.

As part of the exercise, each person wrote a word on a rock that represented something they wanted to compromise on in their relationship. Jasmine chose “independence”.

“I feel unappreciated, I feel unappreciated and unhappy,” Jasmine told Gino in the middle of the Arizona wilderness. “And to make it better, I need to feel that you support me as your partner.”

Gino shot back, claiming to support Jasmine both financially and emotionally. “It’s full support,” he continued, “so don’t say I don’t support you.”

But Jasmine, who recently got her green card, still felt suffocated. “The way I envisioned things in my mind was, okay, I’m giving up my independence that I had in Panama by coming here,” she explained.

“Now that I got my green card, reality hit me and I still don’t have any independence,” Jasmine said. “I’m still in the same s— situation.”

Jasmine was especially anxious to get her driver’s license, which she believed would allow her to achieve the independence she desired.

“For me to feel like I’ve regained my independence, I need you to get me a car,” Jasmine told Gin. “I can’t live like this.”

In a previous confession, she said that it doesn’t matter if the car is “shameful” or “used”, as long as it has its own form of transport.

“I want to feel free again,” Jasmine told Gin. “I want to be with you, to have the freedom to continue to be who I am.”

However, Gino says he cannot afford a vehicle for his wife. Jasmine expressed her disappointment to Gino, who replied, “You don’t appreciate anything anyway.”

Gino refused to compromise with Jasmina, who called Gino a “fraud” for bringing her to the United States only to take away her independence.

“I don’t feel like we’re going anywhere,” Gino said in the confessional. “Therapies haven’t helped us yet and I’m really worried about our relationship right now. He quickly goes into the water.”

The next morning, at the hotel, Jasmine tells Gino that their intimacy is also “down the drain.”

“Right now we have a sexless marriage. And that’s pretty awful,” Jasmine said. Gino agreed, noting how “strange” it had been since they’d last been gentle with each other.

Jasmine said she stopped showing affection to Gino “because of the rejection” she felt from her husband.

“I’m afraid to take the initiative because every time I’ve come close, like come close to kiss you, you’ll do it. You will push me away,” she explained.

Gino replied, “I have to be in the right mood.” But Jasmine said, “You’re never in a good mood.”

“Well, what does that tell you?” Gino replied. He later added: “We can’t go from not sleeping with each other to having sex. You have to slowly get to that point.”

Gino does not want to have sex with Jasmine because of the lack of emotional intimacy.

In another confessional, Jasmine lamented her lack of intimacy with Gina. “I feel like I have to beg for attention, I have to beg for love,” she said. “Why? Why did you marry me?”

Gino was full. “Maybe we shouldn’t even stay in the same room,” he suggested.

Jasmine had had enough. “I can’t take this anymore,” she said before walking away. “Because you are the person who keeps insulting me. You never make me feel special and I’m tired.”

Jasmine tells Gino that she is “tired” of fighting for her independence after a hard day at Compromise Canyon the day before.

Outside, Jasmine called a man named Matt, who she claimed was one of her best friends in Michigan. Matt helped calm her down, telling Jasmine not to let Gino “trigger” her.

Jasmine claimed that she and Matt started working out and spending time together after meeting at a local gym. But Gino has no idea about him.

“I know they’re going to think it’s more than friendship, and I know it’s not,” Jasmine said. “I never did anything with him. Nothing.”

She added: “But at the same time, he is a person who has shown me in a short time that he cares about me and wants me to be happy. And so I became his friend.”

Jasmine cries as she talks to her friend Matt, whom she met at the gym after moving to Michigan.

Matt also seemed to want Jasmine and Gina’s relationship to work. “I think you should do some therapy together,” he said over the phone. “I think you should try to work these things out with him. You have love for each other.”

But he concluded, “Gino doesn’t realize that there are literally hundreds of thousands of men who would jump in three seconds to be with you.”
