90 Day's Shekinah Storms Off Set After Growing 'Tired' by How Fiancé Sarper's Past Has 'Come Up to Haunt Us Nonstop'

The Shekinah reaches a breaking point when Sarper’s past comes to haunt them.

The couple faced off against another one of his ex-lovers during Season 6 of Tell All of 90 Day Fiancé: Another way. On the Nov. 18 episode, Sarper — who had just arrived in the United States on his K-1 visa — and Shekinah came face-to-face with DeeDee, an American therapist Sarper met three years ago on a dating site.

Onstage, DeeDee dropped several bombshells, including that she “stayed in touch” with Sarper until November 2022 and that Sarper may be afraid of Shekinah’s “possessiveness” in their relationship.

Upset, Shekinah left the stage. In a conversation with the producers, she said that she stopped meeting people from her fiance’s past in this way.

“I’ve been dealing with this past since we met and I’m tired of it. It was a collection of bottles, it was an ex’s reach, it was his book. Now it’s this person. I’m tired of it,” Shekinah snapped.

Sarper was visibly shaken when he first saw DeeDee appear on screen in Tell All. Meanwhile, Shekinah asked DeeDee about her relationship with Sarper, but she wasn’t happy to hear her fiance’s former love say, “I consider us friends.”

DeeDee said Sarper told her about Shekinah and claimed she even offered to meet his then-girlfriend and “hang out if she wanted.” Shekinah immediately shut her down.

When host Shaun Robsinson asked DeeDee if she was still interested in meeting Shekinah, DeeDee replied, “Yes, but [Sarper] she said no because she was possessive and unpredictable.”

Shekinah was not happy about being called “unpredictable”, and made it clear that she was not interested in meeting another person from Sarper’s past.

“It’s weird that she thought we could hang out,” Shekinah said. “Like that’s crazy.”

At Sarper’s request, DeeDee emphatically stated that she felt he would “never cheat” on Shekinah and gave him a glowing review of how much he’s grown since the days he had sex with nearly 3,000 women.

“I think he will be very honest and very loyal [to Shekinah]”, she told the group.

But when asked if Sarper was afraid of the Shekinah, DeeDee expressed concern about the “possessiveness” Sarper described to her, noting that she “doesn’t feel like she can go anywhere or have friends.”

“I think it feels a little toxic, unhealthy in a lot of ways,” DeeDee admitted.

“That’s fine. I don’t care what you think about our relationship,” Shekinah replied. She later added, “I just think it’s funny that you have that opinion, like you don’t even know him.”

Then DeeDee spilled some tea. “Well, we make to the text,” she said before admitting that she and Sarper had discussed getting back together more than once.

That was the last straw for the Shekinah, and she left the stage. Speaking to a producer backstage at Tell All, Shekinah said she was “so upset” when she found out Sarper and DeeDee had been texting in November.

“He must be the kind of man I need,” Shekinah explained. “And if he can’t catch, then we can’t walk down the aisle.”

Back on stage, DeeDee dropped another bombshell by showing the group a long thread of text messages on her phone from her conversation with Sarper – although he suggested they only spoke “two or three times”.

James jumped to Sarper’s defense. “I feel like he did the right thing, though, because he said — even though he said that one weird thing — he said, ‘I’m in a relationship.’ ”

But Shekinah still refused to leave her wardrobe. “Unpredictable, I say!” Sarper exclaimed.

Unlike Corona and Meitalia, Sarper did not immediately seek out Shekinah to comfort her during the break. The Shekinah scolded him: “Why did it take you so long to come here?”

“I know you can do better than that,” Shekinah said, but he asserted, “We’re in a social environment and we have to make everyone happy.”

“The only person you should make happy is the person in your life,” Shekinah said before the question. “Is that woman in your life? … Is that another woman in your life? Why do you care about making her happy?”

Shekinah continued, “Your past has haunted us ever since we’ve been together,” though Sarper said “that’s normal.”

“I don’t want to relive moments like this all the time,” Shekinah explained. “It’s creating little cracks in our relationship that will end in a big break. I promise you, I just know how these things go.”

“You’re a winner, honey,” Sarper said, but Shekinah pushed herself away. “Nobody wins. If you’re going to see yourself as a prize, then you have to act like one.”

In the end, Sarper and Shekinah reconciled with a hug. “Stop saying things like that!” Shekinah said as they hugged.
