In an online message, American actor Rob Lowe gushed over his wife Sheryl Berkoff, wishing her a happy anniversary. On July 22, the 58-year-old took to Instagram and posted a monochrome photo of his 61-year-old wife with a touching caption.
“Honey, happy 31st anniversary. Your love changed my life. You are still as lovely, knowledgeable, interesting, kind and witty as you were all those years ago. Loving partners!!”
Berkoff can be seen standing in front of the ocean wearing a tank top and cardigan in the shot. She completed the set with a pair of black aviator sunglasses. Sheryl also shared a black and white photo of the couple on her Instagram profile to commemorate their wedding day.
“Love is always present. 31 years of business. Blessed and grateful xoxo Happy Anniversary”

Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff first met in 1983 when friends sent them a blind date. However, it didn’t work out between the two of them because they didn’t want to be in a relationship at the time, so they broke up. Fate, on the other hand, had other plans for the two when they met again in 1990 on the set of Bad Influence, where Sheryl was his make-up artist. Lowe was in drug rehabilitation at the time. In a 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight, he credited his wife for guiding him through that period.
“[Berkoff] he may have saved my life.” She met me right at the tail end of my ’80s wild boy craze and was worth adjusting her life to.”
They started dating in 1989 and married on July 22, 1991. Rob Lowe talked about how his life changed after marrying Berkoff in an interview with Haute Living.
“I met my now-wife, Sheryl, and I tried monogamy for the first time — which wasn’t in my nature at the time — and I couldn’t do it.” It made me think about how I spend my life. That led to me being clean, which led to me turning my life around and having everything I have today.”
The couple, who are celebrating 31 years of marriage, have two children, John Owen Lowe and Matthew Edward Lowe. John, who was born in 1993, followed in his father’s footsteps and became an actor. According to his Instagram name, Matthew, born in 1995, is an entrepreneur.
But the Code Black actor said his wife never felt uncomfortable while he was constantly showered with attention for his work. The Wild Bill star said in an interview with The Guardian:
“Well, listen, we would never have been attracted to each other if she hadn’t played a fantastic sport and had a huge perspective, which she still has today.” She is quite confident, which makes it easier for me to do my job, and occasionally my job requires me to jump into bed and kiss a lovely woman.”
Rob Lowe, who recently appeared in 9-1-1: Lone Star as Owen Strand, will next appear in Dog Gone and Unstable.
