A loyal and loving mother otter takes a delightful pose to lift her young out of the water and place her on her belly to keep her dry and warm.

A photographer named Suzi Eszterthas is a digital nature photographer. A photographer captured the sweet sight of a pair of adorable sea otters.

She does this to keep the baby otters dry and warm. Mother otters blow warm air on their babies to keep them from catching cold and keep their coats dry.

The photographer was surprised when the otters approached where she was standing. The photographers were amazed at their reaction.

The mother otter releases the baby otters in the water. Their fur keeps them steady and won’t let go without help. They can’t. At the same time, the mother otter is looking for small animals.

The mother even let the baby close to the photographer and demanded food. A baby otter floating on the water.

There are nearly 3,000 otters in California. These otters are descendants of 50 otters found in 1938.
