Casey volunteered to help zօօ take care of the newborn bear because there was nothing in the facility to feed the babies.
The man has a farm and lots of land, so he has no problem with new residents not bothering anyone. He started grooming him like a puppy, then decided that Brutus was perfectly fine to stay on the farm.
Casey Andersen works professionally with animals and has a wealth of experience.
He has worked for a long time as a custodian in various wildlife parks and helps major zoos take care of cubs abandoned by their parents for various reasons.
That’s why he didn’t hesitate to bring home a little bear from the zoo. When he was a few months old, Brutus lived in Casey’s house, gradually getting used to people. But then the adult animal was moved to the open area of the farm.
After a year, Brutus had grown into a clumsy but large teenager. The case has been removed; Casey’s idea is based on the fact that the bear has been used to seeing humans since childhood.
“You see, Brutus still bit her. I am well aware of the nature of these stars and I keep the necessary distance,” was Casey’s response to criticism from people who expressed legitimate concerns about the idea of keeping bears indoors.
Despite the size that has grown, Brutus still retains his love of people. He was so calm that Casey even took him to a popular TV show, after which people from all over the country started sending him money to keep the bear.
“I saved him like a bear, and now he’s saving me from bankruptcy.” That seems fair to me,” Casey said.
Their unusual friendship with the bear is expected to last for at least another 40 years. Grizzlies lived to such an advanced age easily.
