A group of construction workers in the Ecuadorian state of Pasay have been hailed as heroes after quickly saving a poor puppy from a grim fate.
The men teamed up and used an excavator to save the dog from drowning after it fell into an irrigation canal. The rescue was caught on camera and the moment went viral online!
The team was radioed by some of their colleagues that the dog had just fallen into the canal and was being swept towards them by rapids. Without thinking, they rushed to save the helpless dog.
One of the workers, Abel Murillo, jumped into the excavator bucket while his colleague carried him until he could reach the dog.
Frightened and confused, the dog even bit Murilla’s hand, but that didn’t stop the heroic builder from saving her. Then the rest of the crew brought them both back to safety!
The hero explained: “The dog almost wanted to let go because it hit the bucket due to the force of the water and wanted to get under it. “Then I grabbed the dog and it bit me, but only with a slight bite.”

“We decided to use a bucket to go down to save the dog,” the workers said. “Thank God we caught it, we can give it another chance to live!”
Thanks to these heroic men, an innocent soul has been spared and given a second chance. But the builders not only saved the dog, they raised enough money to get her to the vet where she was treated!

The impressive moment was captured by the camera and spread on the Internet, with millions of views and at least no less positive reactions to the noble gesture of the workers!
