Addressing the allegations, Feig wrote in his post: “This is total BS. sorry.”
Feig previously voiced support for Lively last month on X after she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, 40, alleging inappropriate behavior during production It ends with us showing her explicit images and videos and questioning her about her personal sex life, entered her trailer “uninvited” while she was unclothed or “vulnerable,” and engaged in a vendetta smear campaign, among other allegations — which Baldoni has denied.

“She really didn’t deserve this smear campaign against her,” he added. “I think it’s horrible that she went through this.”
Baldoni has since filed his own lawsuit on December 31 against The New York Times — which broke the story of Lively’s lawsuit — alleging defamation, false invasion of privacy, promissory estoppel and breach of implied contract.

Feig reunited with Lively, Kendrick, 39, and Henry Golding in early 2024 to film the sequel to the 2018 film. Simple servicewhich tells the story of widowed mother Stephanie (Kendrick) who investigates the disappearance of her glamorous new friend Emily (Lively).

Kendrick teased the film while speaking with PEOPLE in October, saying that getting “the group” together for the sequel feels “a little bit like riding a bike.”
“And I will say after I shot the first one, I was totally like, ‘This is the craziest movie I’ve ever been a part of.’ I think it’s really fascinating that Paul Feig is the guy he’s arguably best known for bridesmaidsand the darkness and the madness that is in his brain, it’s impressive,” said the actress. “You say, ‘Oh, my God.’ ”
“So the second movie is crazy. I know I’m going to say that, like, ‘Oh, she’s crazier than the last one,’ but girl, that’s a lot,” Kendrick added.
