A woman found a stray dog on the pier, and then realized that it was hiding something

When Kristin Erwin heard about a stray dog wandering near a pier in Channelview, Texas, she jumped in her car as soon as she could.

Erwin, who often helps rescue dogs, was devastated when he arrived at the scene and found the cutest girl walking in the harbor, alone.

Erwin wasn’t necessarily going to bring the dog home, but as soon as she saw the puppy, she knew she couldn’t leave him – especially when the good girl started wagging her tail and rubbing Erwin’s leg.

After giving the charming stray dog some food and water, she noticed that the dog was not only extremely thin, but also appeared to be nursing. Erwin knows it only means one thing – there are puppies nearby.

Soon, with some information from locals she met nearby, she found all eight of them.

Erwin couldn’t help but feel great pity for the stray dog, later named Marla, who was taking care of many puppies alone.

“She had to be exhausted and exhausted to keep them alive,” Erwin said. “I really sympathize with stray dogs, so that was especially difficult for me.”

Erwin raised Marla and her puppies for a month and ended up taking them to another foster home, where they stayed until the puppies were old enough for vaccinations.

They gradually grow up to be gentle dogs, mischievous and longing to be loved. With the help of Paddy’s Paws and Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue, Marla and all her children quickly find their permanent home.

Although Erwin misses Marla and her puppies, she’s glad she was able to help them find families that will love them forever.

“They’re not necessarily the next generation of wild dogs,” says Erwin. “I’m so glad I was there that day and I was able to change their future.”
