He shared his triumph with Samay Raina in the show. Aakash started his career as a theatre artist and used to perform improvisational plays. Before participating in Comicstaan, he was already a rising star in the comedy scene and excelled in genres like sketch comedy and improvisational comedy. As a comedian
Aakash has been passionate about theatre since his college days. After graduation, he continued to pursue his passion and entered professional theatre while working as an auditor. Through theatre, he was exposed to ‘Improvisation’, commonly known as ‘Improvisation’, which is a genre of comedy where performances are performed without a plan or script. He also joined ‘Kaivalya Plays’, a spontaneous improvisational comedy group.
After doing theatre for some time and honing his acting skills, Aakash started uploading comedy sketches on his YouTube channel. On April 27, 2017, Aakash uploaded his first comedy sketch titled “Manhoos Man”.
Since then, he has uploaded various other comedy sketch videos like ‘Shared Cab’, ‘Drunk Beta’ and ‘Career Looters’. After a year in the improv community, he decided to try his luck at open mics. Aakash is an auditor by day and a comedian by night; performing stand-up at open mics across Delhi. Stand-up was a new genre of comedy for him; in an interview, he said
So I had to write my own material, which I wasn’t used to because improv is more of a group thing. There’s no writing involved. So it was a new thing for me. I tried it, I liked it, and I started doing it.
On June 11, 2017, Aakash came into the limelight with his first stand-up comedy video uploaded on his channel, Train Journey and Honeymoon Journey.
The video went viral and his popularity earned him paid opportunities to perform at multiple comedy events. While continuing his career as a comedian, he performed and uploaded various talk shows like Relationships, Clubs and Cocktails, Delhi Metro, etc., which earned him the YouTube Silver Play Button. On July 12, 2019, Aakash made his digital debut on Amazon Prime’s Comicstaan Season 2.
