Aanjjan Srivastav is a popular Bollywood and theater actor. He is famous for his role as “Srinivas Wagle” in the popular Indian television series “Wagle Ki Duniya” (1988).

Aanjjan was born on Wednesday, June 2, 1948, in Kolkata (now Kolkata), West Bengal (age 75; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Gemini. He received his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Calcutta University. After graduation, he worked in Allahabad Bank, Kolkata.

Profession
His father wanted him to join Allahabad Bank instead of acting. He joined a bank but also continued his acting career. While in college, he participated in Bengali drama and performed plays for All India Radio. In 1967, he acted in many Bengali dramas including “Neel Darpan”, “Kayakalp” and “Anwar”.

After his sister died in 1976, his father allowed him to try his luck in the Indian film industry. He joined the Indian People’s Theater Association (IPTA) in Mumbai and later worked at Prithvi Theatre. He had the opportunity to work in many popular Bollywood films, including Gol Maal (1979), Saza-E-Maut (1981) and Ghulami (1985).

The TV series made him recognized in the entertainment industry. He made his acting debut in “Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi” (1984) aired on DD National. One of his memorable television serials was Wagle Ki Duniya (1988-1990), which aired on DD National channel.
