A$AP Rocky is no ordinary dad. He’s a cool dad. And he’s also one of the most stylish talents in the rap industry, a designer and fashion icon for the masses.
All of which means his sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, will be the happy recipients of his chic gifts and will have no problem transitioning to his signature style when they get older — at least that’s what the father of two wants to say when his kids wear his archive.
“They won’t have to try too hard to figure it out. He’s going to be there for them,” the “Fashion Killa” rapper, 36, told PEOPLE exclusively at the Footwear News Achievement Awards in NYC on Dec. 4.

In addition to his clothes, A$AP Rocky — who, along with Puma, was the winner of the collaboration of the year award — adds that he wants his little ones to have a bit of his “originality” in their DNA.
“I hope it’s in their blood and genes, no pun intended,” he said.

Right now, though, his little ones have sewing help from their mom — who also happens to be Rihanna.
In his red carpet interview with PEOPLE, A$AP Rocky said the “Lift Me Up” singer, 36, is in charge of dressing their kids.
“I have no input when my sons get dressed. Sometimes she dresses them up like me with kilts and all that, but it’s all those moms, man. He has good style and taste,” he said through his longtime partner.

The couple, whose relationship was confirmed in 2020, stepped out for a chic evening at the Footwear News Gala in honor of his recognition. A$AP Rocky was dressed in Bottega Veneta from his leather bomber jacket and silk pants to square toe loafers. Rihanna wore a white shirt with a sexy thigh-high slit. She teamed the one-piece with white lace-up heels and statement jewelry.
It was their second outing of the week following their impressive appearance at the Fashion Awards in London on December 2.
