ABBA Legend Agnetha Fältskog Debuts New Song and Instagram Page: ‘So … Where Do We Go from Here?’

Agnetha Fältskog publishes a new song — and an Instagram page!

The 73-year-old singer, who is best known for being a member of the Swedish pop group ABBA, founded in 1972, announced the release of her new single “Where Do We Go From Here?” She shared the news on her new Instagram page, which was created last week.

In the photo, Fältskog was smiling at the camera wearing a pink scarf. “WORLD PREMIERE. Agnetha Fältskog’s ‘Where do we go from here?’ ” added a picture.

“So… where to next?” the inscription read. “The world premiere of ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’ on @bbcradio2 with @zoetheball – Tune in Thursday 31 August from 8:30am (BST) 💛➕.”

Many fans couldn’t help but express their excitement over the news in the comments section. “I’m so ready and excited for this,” one fan wrote, while another said, “Such a nice and lovely surprise.”

According to CNN, “Where do we go from here?” is from the revised version of Fältski’s 2013 album AND. Talking about her new album, A+, Fältskog said on BBC Radio 2 Show Breakfast Zoe Ball Thursday, according to CNN, “It came as an idea out of the blue.”

The singer also revealed that she collaborated with producer and songwriter Jörgen Elofsson. “I love music,” Fältskog said on the radio show. “Music is always in my heart and brain. I live and sleep with music.”

“It’s a good feeling. You never get tired of it, hearing yourself on the radio,” she added. “It’s really something. It’s always a tense feeling, you could say, about what people are going to think about this.”

Fältskog continued: “But as long as you have your heart in it and you’ve given it your best, because I’m not that young anymore and I’m very grateful to still have my voice and a good composer by my side [Elofsson].”

Formed in Stockholm in 1972 by two then-couples — Fältski and Björn Ulvaeus, plus Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad — ABBA became the first Swedish contestant to win the Eurosong in 1974. Marking 50 years since the group won the contest, this year’s next competition for the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malmö, Sweden.

When asked if the band would do anything to mark the 50th anniversary of the victory, Fältskog said he Show Breakfast Zoe Ballper CNN, “You never know anything about ABBA… I’m not saying anything about it.”

ABBA broke up in 1982, but went on to great success after a compilation album ABBA Gold: The Greatest Hits became a worldwide bestseller after its release in 1992. Their music was also adapted into a musical from 1999 Dear mother!which later spawned a film series, starting in 2008.

In 2016, the band reunited for a digital avatar concert tour, and in November 2021 they released their first album in 40 years, ABBA journey.
