Adam Driver Host SNL, Shows Off Piano Skills, Asks Santa for People to Stop Saying He ‘Killed Han Solo’

Adam Driver live again from New York — this time with a piano!

The Star Wars the actor, 40, started his fourth Saturday night live guest appearance on Saturday, with musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. simultaneously showing off his comedic skills and musical skills as he compiled his Christmas list for Santa.

The actor tickled the ivories as he told Santa everything he wanted, each thing more immovable than the last. Among his wishes are five pairs of Chinos, one of those “giant metal Tesla trucks” and he jokingly asked jolly old Saint Nick to take off “those people” who make up the couple of TikToks joking around with each other.

He even joked about his role in the Star Wars, boring, “I wish people would stop coming up to me on the streets saying, ‘You killed Han Solo.’ I didn’t kill Han Solo; vigilance killed Han Solo.”

“Well Santa, thank you for listening to me. I’m looking forward to you breaking into my house,” he concluded, ending the segment with one last complicated musical intro before adding that he’s given Santa his own gift in the new film Ferrari, which comes out on Christmas.

Throughout the episode, the two-time Oscar nominee further flexed his comedic muscles in sketches where he played a sex offender contacted by an old high school friend, one half of a gay couple trying to have a child, a holiday dinner host who becomes a little too obsessed with table space, an innocent a chocolatier who has no idea how phallic an unwrapped Santa Claus sculpture is, and a 70-year-old veteran who has had his fill of jokes on TikTok.

The driver is the host for the first time SNL 2016, when he appeared in a much-loved sketch playing his villain Star Wars The character Kylo Ren works as an employee of the First Order for Secret Boss: Where are they now. He later reprized the role for his return to the NBC comedy series in 2020, dressing up as an intern named Randy to find out what people really think of Kylo Ren in Star Destroyer H17.
