She shared photos and videos of Nottingham Panthers players, a month after the tragedy on the ice at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.

It has been revealed that American athlete Johnson has told his family that he intends to propose to Ryan.

He never actually proposed to her before his shock loss, but Ryan now calls herself his fiancée – and shared a photo of the ring on her finger.

Friends of the family previously told how she found the ring.

It was the last shot of an Instagram slide dedicated to Johnson shared Thursday to mark the US Thanksgiving holiday.

Ryan captioned the photo of himself kissing Johnson’s cheek with the words: “We are grateful for our memories and our life together.

“We wish we could have had more baby. I miss you so much every day, I love you Adam.”

That footage was followed by footage of Johnson driving and singing “Last Friday Night” by pop star Katy Perry.

The pair are also shown with Johnson’s arm around her in front of an illuminated “Love” sign, and the other with him holding a baby.

Other clips show Johnson flying on rocks under the setting sun and drawing the couple’s initials inside a heart in the sand.

Ryan also posted solo pictures of her boyfriend, like him holding a puck while wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins shirt – his former NHL team in the US.

The latest snap of the engagement ring on her finger comes after family friends revealed his plans to propose.

Scott Pionk, whose son played college hockey with Johnson, told USA Today, “His grandmother told me he showed her the ring before he left and that he was going to propose at some point.”

And Johnson’s aunt Kari said: “We were all very excited because we were really looking forward to their future and he didn’t get a chance to ask her and then this happened.”

A tearful Ryan spoke at a celebration of Johnson’s life at the Memorial Building Arena in Minnesota earlier this month.

It seems like an understatement to say we were boyfriend and girlfriend or engaged

She read to the mourners a letter she had written expressing what she wished she could have said at their wedding.

Addressing Adam, she said: “You’ve made me so madly happy and it seems a bit much to say we were boyfriend and girlfriend or engaged.

“I’ve never felt there was a label that could describe us, how well we fit each other, how in tune and aware we are of each other, how we agree on everything under the sun – even if sometimes you like to disagree with me on little things like the fastest way home or the best brands of peanut butter.

“You were everything to me – you were my home, my best friend, my sounding board, my rock, my safe harbor and the love of my life.

“I will never stop thinking about you, missing you, and loving you until we are together again.”

Johnson fell to the ice after a collision in the 35th minute of a fatal game against the Sheffield Steelers on October 8.

Blood could be seen covering the rink as a teammate and referee helped him to his feet and face the sideline, only for him to collapse a few steps later.

The players formed a protective ring as the screens were brought out and the 8,000 spectators sent home.

Johnson was taken to hospital, where he is believed to have been revived before dying during surgery.

Panthers second baseman Victor Björkung, who was on the ice at the time, has now revealed he will be leaving the club as he struggles with the “traumatizing” moment he witnessed.

South Yorkshire Police said on November 14 that they had arrested a man on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with Johnson’s death.

He was released on bail the next day, while the police continue their investigation.

An autopsy earlier this month found Johnson’s cause of death to be a neck injury.

The coroner opened an inquest and warned there could be more ice hockey deaths unless neck guards are made mandatory.
