Adam Sandler's Favorite Chocolate Bar Was Discontinued but He Can Still Get It: 'I'm Sandler for God's Sake'

The actor, 57, revealed his ultimate sweet treat while speaking to reporters at the ‘Spaceman’ premiere in Los Angeles

Nothing will stand between Adam Sandler and his favorite candy.

On Monday, the 57-year-old actor attended the premiere of his new film in Los Angeles Spaceheld at the Egyptian Theatre, where he talked about his ultimate sweet treat — which was accidentally interrupted.

Since in his new film he plays Jakub Prochazka, an astronaut on a solo mission to Jupiter, journalists wanted to know what kind of junk food he would take with him when he went into space.

“Oh, that’s good. I guess it’s a Marathon bar right now. Have you ever had one of those? They don’t make them anymore. Maybe they only make a few,” Sandler told reporters.

When asked if he has a “secret factory” that produces the tasty treat, The A murder mystery the star replied: “That’s good. No, I don’t. Maybe I do. I’m Sandler, for God’s sake, I can get a Marathon bar, okay.”

The candy, which went out of production in 1981 after eight years, according to The Daily Meal, was a combination of chocolate and caramel in a braid-like bar. The Daily Meal points out that Cadbury’s Curly Wurly bars are quite similar and rarely available in the US – so maybe that’s what Sandler can get his hands on.

Sandler was joined by his family on Monday Space premiere. There, he also talked about sharing the screen with his daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, in multiple films.

When asked if putting his teenage daughters in movies was the best way to spend time with them, The Water boy the actor admitted: “They still don’t talk to you. They go off to do their own thing.” He added: “They do the best they can and then they go about their lives. I’m on the ‘I love you’ side.” I tell them I love you a lot.”

Sadie and Sunny have worked alongside their famous father for more than a decade, regularly starring in films with their model actress mother Jackie, 49, including Netflix’s 2023.You are not invited to my Bat Mitzvah.

Although he is known for his comedies, Space sees Sandler take on the more dramatic role of astronaut Jakub, who becomes concerned about his marriage and life on earth while on a solo mission.

The synopsis reads: “Desperate to mend things with his wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is aided by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time that he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship.” The creature, named Hanuš and voiced by Paul Dano, “works with Jakub to figure out what went wrong before it’s too late,” according to the synopsis.

Spaceaccording to the 2017 book Spaceman from Bohemia by Jaroslav Kalfař, arrives on Netflix on March 1.
