Author Adrienne Young is turning a new page. The author is releasing her first fantasy novel for adults, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal. Burning city will hit shelves next fall via Saturday Books.Burning city takes place in the city of Isara, according to the synopsis of the book. Luca Matias, a legionnaire, is destined to carry on his family’s name and maintain their rule over the Forum after his uncle dies. However, Luca sees his alliance put to the test after he begins an apprenticeship with the town’s Philosopher. Meanwhile, Maris Casperia knows she’s meant to work for the city, but her relationship with a priestess, who holds the hidden magic of the Old War, has her wanting a different life for herself.
