Agatha Kongkal Sangma is an Indian politician who serves as a member of the Lok Sabha and represents the Tula constituency in Meghalaya. Notably, at the age of 29, she became the youngest person in the history of India to be appointed as a Union Minister in the Government of India. After completing her LLB from Pune University, she became an advocate at the Delhi High Court. She continued her education by completing a Masters in Environmental Management at the University of Nottingham, UK.

In May 2008, Sangma won the 14th Lok Sabha by-election and began her political journey. The opportunity arose after her father Prasangma resigned from office and ventured into state politics. Subsequently, she was re-elected as a member of the 15th Lok Sabha. It is noteworthy that at the age of 29, Sangma became the youngest Member of Parliament to hold the post of Union Minister in the Government of India.
