AJLT Star Sarita Choudhury Debuts Chic New Bob While Modeling Archive Donna Karan Dress

The And just like that… star, 57, parted with her long locks and debuted a chic new hairdo in photos she posted to her Instagram feed on Saturday.

Choudhury showed off her shorter hairdo as she modeled an archival black Donna Karan dress with a structured waist embellishment that covered her from head to toe.

“Coming out to the @donnakaran archive,” she captioned photos of herself standing seductively inside an elevator door and leaning against a white marble statue.

Her AJLT Costar Mario Cantone praised her new look in the comments, writing alongside three fiery emojis, “It’s pretty stunning ❤️.”

Choudhury also received praise from exes A top chef presenter Padma Lakshmi, who wrote: “Love loves love. And your hair looks so chic!!”

Mariska Hargitay wrote: “Whaaaa???” while I never did actress Poorna Jagannathan commented, “My dear wtf 🔥.”

Choudhury is just as stylish in real life as her character on the HBO Max series, Seema Patel. The British actress plays a real estate agent who became a friend of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker).

The Sex and the city the reboot was renewed for a third season ahead of the release of the final episode of the second season in August. Although the cast has not been announced yet, Choudhury is most likely to feature in the upcoming sequel.

Choudhury caught up with PEOPLE in March at the 75th Writers Guild Awards in the midst of filming the second season in New York. At the event, the actress opened up about how playing the confident Seema has affected her life.

“I knew when I accepted it. I thought, ‘Oh my God, she’s the opposite of me,'” Choudhury said of his character at the time. “I don’t do anything she does and I don’t have that kind of, just the way she takes control, I’d like my whole life and I don’t so it’s actually been fun.”

She continued, “Even though I’m playing her as a character, I’m starting to wonder what’s changing in my life and if it can help even with small things like coming to an event like this.”

Choudhury also shared that she has become more confident when it comes to her wardrobe choices since playing Seema. For example, she said of the low-cut top she wore to the annual WGA Awards, “Yeah, I decided to wear it like this.”

“But I wear this outfit all season,” she added. “I don’t mind now.”
