Akash Dadlani is an Indian rapper. He is best known for his participation in the controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss 11, where he earned a reputation as a “bad boy”. In 2022, he won the award for the music video of the song “Dosti Friends”.

Akash Anil Dadlani was born in 1993 (31 years old as of 2024). Akash attended Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas, and then received his education at Albemarle High School in Albemarle, North Carolina. In 2011, he moved to India to study at a university in Mumbai as part of a student exchange program, but dropped out to pursue a rap career.

In 2011, Akash dropped out of college to pursue rapping as a career. His goal is to become an international Indian rapper. His rap name is ACA$H. After some hard work, he got a chance to work with the popular Bollywood band Meet Brothers. When Aakash was in Bigg Boss, he claimed to have helped the Meet Brothers with the song Chittiyan Kalaiyaan. When co-contestant Vikas Gupta teased him for taking credit for the song, he clarified that he helped them with a few lines. In response, Manmeet Singh, one of the Meet Brothers said:
This is absolute rubbish. He used to come here to study music. So when we were making the track to write the rap, he also wrote some stuff, but we didn’t use it because he wasn’t a professional. He is still learning. You know, we tried a lot of people. We gathered five singers to sing the song. When we don’t like it, we don’t keep it, so his stuff we don’t like because he still doesn’t have that talent. So what he said is not true. ”

In 2018, he sang the song “BANG BANG” under the stage name ACASH. In 2019, he sang the song “Naagin Dance” with Purnima Solanki and starred in its music video. He also released the song “Dosti Friends” and starred in the music video. In 2022, he released the song “Mumbai Dreaming”.

In 2012, he participated in the reality show Superdude broadcast on UTV Bindass. He participated in the reality TV show Bigg Boss 11 (Padosi Bajayenge Barah) in 2017-18 as a “commoner”. On the first day, he was sent to “jail”. He became popular for creating controversial situations and getting into fights with other contestants. He was evicted on Day 101 of the final week (Week 15) after facing a public vote.

Akash Dadlani pursued his interest in playing tennis at a young age and won many tournaments. He is a member of the Albemarle Bulldogs tennis team at Albemarle High School. He participated in the 2009 RRC Championship, won the tournament and was named the 2008 Player of the Year. At the age of 16, he participated in the 2009 Tennis State Championships in Texas and won the championship. He was named the 1A singles tennis champion.

Bigg Boss Questions
In December 2017, he forcibly kissed co-contestant Shilpa Shinde inside the Bigg Boss 11 house. Shilpa also accused him of being a “panty sniffer”. When asked about his actions at a press conference, Akash admitted he had made a mistake and said he did not have any “bad intentions.” He was criticized when he called his co-star Benafsha Sunawalla a “flat screen”. He also called her “unhygienic, crazy and smelly”. He was later criticized for forcefully kissing co-contestant Lucinda Nicholas and making her feel uncomfortable.

He also asked her to kiss him in exchange for her vote. Lucinda complains that Akash’s flirtation has crossed a line. Speaking about his actions, Lucinda said:
The way he sang to me was funny at first but slowly it got really dirty. He kept asking me to kiss him and even when I said no, he kept trying to convince me. I felt sick when he told me that a girl’s “no” actually meant “yes.” It was a very cheap idea and I’m glad I got rid of him. ”
He also made comments about Vikas Gupta’s sexual orientation and got into arguments with Vikas and Priyank Sharma. Priyank was evicted from the show for pushing Akash.

Relationship with singer Vishal Dadarani
In Bigg Boss 11, Akash revealed that he is related to singer Vishal Dadlani. He claimed to be the singer’s “late brother’s son.” Vishal responded to his statement on Twitter and said that he never had a brother and their connection was very distant.

While participating in the show Bigg Boss with her son and Aakash’s mother, Sunita said that Vishal lied about never meeting Aakash. She also said that she has proof that Akash and Vishal are cousins. She said,
I even have proof that Akash and Vishal are cousins. I have pictures of Vishal and his family in my wedding album. “

Drunk on set
In January 2018, he was reportedly kicked out after he turned up drunk on the sets of Entertainment Ki Raat. He later clarified the news and said,
I wasn’t kicked out. I read the script and opted out because I didn’t like it. Usme bahut beizzati ho rahithi (The script was very embarrassing to me). They often make fun of me. I have just come back from Bigg Boss 11, where we saw Salman Khan doing a lot of Masti and Beizzati to me. Main har jagah apni masti aur beizzati nahi karva sakta. I refuse to rap. I know Balaji, he is a friend and we played cricket together. He told me they would make fun of me. I left the set with my team…my mother and my friends got front row seats to the show but then my mother asked me not to do that, I respect my family and loved ones. ”
