Alexander Skarsgård strips down for Calvin Klein’s latest men’s campaign.
48-year-old actor, who stars in an upcoming film Leesmolders in Calvin Klein’s fall 2024 collection, which focuses on “transitional layering” and flirts with “minimalism,” according to the brand. In a series of photos captured by Mert Alas, Skarsgård looks relaxed as he prepares for his day in a range of classic looks, which include an open white shirt, refined skinny trousers and the brand’s jacket, and a cozy wool sweater that gives off a lot of autumnal vibes.
In one photo, Succession alum goes shirtless, opting to wear nothing but dark sunglasses and pants with a pair of Calvin Klein’s famous peek-a-boo underwear.

In an interview he published Esquire on Wednesday, September 4, Skarsgård opened up about his experience posing for Calvin Klein more than a decade after his first campaign with the brand.
“I’m incredibly honored and excited,” he said. “I worked with Merta [Alas, campaign director and photographer] to something else many years ago, and it was so nice to work with him. It’s a lot of fun and he works fast, so it’s a very energetic set, which is fine with me.”
The photo shoot leans towards an autumnal aesthetic with the Swedish actor bathed in golden light in almost every shot. Skarsgård embraces the brand’s new Calvin Klein Studio collection, which focuses on “sublime essentials” as he models a sleek look that takes him from “dawn to dusk.”

The clothes not only fit Skarsgård like a glove, but also suit his personal style – which he said Esquire values quality more than quantity.
“I think it’s very important that when you go shopping, [you] buy things that you obviously love and are excited to get home and try on, but pieces that will last and sustain you,” he said. “You want to build a relationship with those pieces, or at least I do.”
He added: “I like to have things that I have worn for many years and that I have many memories of wearing.”

Ultimately, Skarsgård told the outlet that comfort trumps everything else, since he’s “like a five-year-old when it comes to clothes.” The True Blood star certainly looks comfortable in the brand’s new menswear collection as he wears ’90s-style straight-leg jeans and a mustard-colored button-down open all the way to the waist.
While most of his photos show the actor bare-chested, he also goes into the fall wearing a sweater as opposed to the wool sweater that wouldn’t be out of place in a Nora Ephron film. (Who is for When Alexander met Sally?)

“It was wonderful to reunite with the Calvin Klein team for this campaign,” the actor said in a statement. “There was such a great energy during this shoot, I’ve worked with Mert and his team a few times now and it’s always been great. I loved the styling – it felt sophisticated and polished but still very relaxed and playful.”
