But Wong was booked, busy and winning awards last weekend.
On Sunday night, the 41-year-old star took home the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Then, on Monday night, she was named Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie at the Emmys. And there were others everywhere Beef wins, too. But before both of these nights even began, her lips were primed for red carpet photos, potential awards speeches — which ended up becoming reality — and cuddling her boyfriend Bill Hader.
So how did makeup artist Daniel Martin do it? He used Tatcha’s The Kissu Lip Mask for a hydrating and plumping effect. Relatively affordable at just $29, it happens to be the same product — albeit in a different color — that Martin, who is also the brand’s global director of art and education, used on Cindy Crawford just months before.

The “holy grail” product, as many customers call it, is made with nourishing ingredients like squalane, Japanese peach extract and Japanese camellia oil that work together to help fight dryness and moisture on the lips. It also comes with a mini spatula, so you’re not constantly dirtying the jar with germs on your fingers when applying. The lip mask is also available at multiple retailers, including Amazon, Tatcha, and Sephora.
And while we’re on the subject of application, use a “pearl-sized amount,” according to the brand, for an au natural or barely there look. Or, if you have a big event, apply it the same way as the primer – under lipstick. And if you just can never have enough gloss, feel free to apply it to the top of your lips as well. These are all brand-approved uses.

One customer, who “had very dry and thinning lips due to age,” said the product made their lips “super soft and plump and defined,” and even called it their “little lip miracle in a jar.”
Another customer, whose remedy resulted in “unbearably dry” lips with flaking, redness and chapped corners, said: “I was applying Aquaphor (which is usually my ride or die) every few minutes, but it never healed anything.” After using The Kissu Lip Mask twice, they felt that their lips were “almost completely healed”.
“I apply a lip mask morning and night,” wrote a third customer who lives in an area “with very dry winter weather.” They continued, “My lips feel nourished and soft and I haven’t had any chapped lips since using it.”
And according to Amazon, over 5,000 customers have also bought it in the last month. Several customers even called the lip mask “better than Laneige” in their reviews.
Step up your lip treatments now that it’s winter and head to Amazon, Sephora or Tatcha to buy The Kissu Lip Mask and more products used on Wong.
