All About Amy Adams’ Daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo

Amy Adams and her husband Darren Le Gallo live a charmed life with their daughter Aviana.

The couple – who first met on an acting course in 2001 – welcomed their baby girl in 2010.

“The journey from the moment she was born is about discovering who she is, who she wants to be,” Adams told Australia’s Project while promoting Disappointed in 2022

The Dear Evan Hansen the star opened towards Marie Claire in 2018 about parenting Le Gall, whom she married in 2015. “It’s sexy to see him raising a little girl and teaching her how a man should treat her in a nice way,” she said.

Raising Aviana, the six-time Oscar nominee became a Hollywood heavyweight, starring in films such as Fighter, The Master and the American Fraud. In 2017, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

During the ceremony cementing her place in history, the mother of one said Party tonight that she hopes to be a source of inspiration for her daughter.

“I want to [Aviana] to know that it is not only women who can soar, she can soar and needs to find her own light. I know she’s on that path,” she explained. “It’s something I have to remind her of. No light that shines on me creates a shadow in which she can stand.”

Adams and Le Gallo welcomed their baby girl, Aviana Olea Le Gallo, in Los Angeles on May 15, 2010.

“Mom and baby are home and doing great,” Adams’ rep told PEOPLE exclusively at the time. “Everyone is healthy and happy.”

Shortly after giving birth, she opened up about how her relationship with her body changed.

“Being pregnant has finally helped me realize my true relationship with my body — which is that it wasn’t put on this earth to look good in a bathing suit,” Adams said. Parade in December 2010.

The actress continued: “I thought, ‘Look, I can carry a baby! I’m gaining weight properly, everything is going well.’ And I’ve had that relationship ever since.”

She was named after her mother’s birthplace

The Sharp objects star and Le Gallo paid tribute to Adams’ hometown of Aviano, Italy, when choosing their daughter’s name.

“We had a bunch of other names picked out and we tossed around Aviana, but I was in favor of more traditional names and I thought we’d go in that direction,” she said during the visit. The Rachael Ray Show 2010. “But when she was born, we just called her ‘Avi, Avi, Avi.’ ”

She recorded episodic roles in her parents’ films

While Adams and Le Gallo try to preserve their daughter’s privacy, they allow her to take center stage on their projects.

When Adams was filming the Disney sequel Disappointedher daughter joined her on set, where she filmed a cameo in the 2022 fantasy musical film.

“We were under very strict COVID restrictions, so if we wanted to spend the day, I had to invite her to act in a movie,” she said during a guest appearance in The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“So she was walking through the market looking longingly at the dragon fruit and her mother dragged her away. It was really great,” added Adams.

In the same year, Aviana also appeared in her father’s comedy Sam & Katewhich was inspired by the conversations he had with her about life and death. In the film directed by Le Gallo, she portrays a young dancer in one of the scenes.

She has an eye for detail

To be on Disappointed set while her mom reprises her role as Giselle gave Aviana a new perspective on how movies are made and the attention to detail that is required, especially when following continuity.

“When you’re working on a movie, you have to do the same thing over and over again, and she became very strict about it,” Adams said in a guest appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

“It was one of her favorite things to learn about. Now she likes to point out continuity errors,” she continued.

Host James Corden joked that Aviana could go through her mom’s old movies to spot mistakes. “That would actually be a lot of fun,” the actress said.

She left ballet despite her mother’s efforts

Adams, who has a passion for dance, hoped to pass her love of the hobby on to her daughter. She enrolled Aviana in ballet lessons with the condition that she could stop at age 10 if she didn’t like it.

“It was about 30 seconds after she turned 10, she was like, ‘Are we okay? Did I make it?’ Adams said Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021

She noted that her daughter has “beautiful feet that would be great for ballet.”

“Nothing would make me want to dance less than my parents telling me I have beautiful feet. I think you might have scared her right away,” joked Seth Meyers.

“I think I did it wrong,” Adams joked.

She is “beautifully musical”

Although she shied away from ballet, Aviana is attracted to other forms of art. During the appearance at the 2021 The Kelly Clarkson ShowAdams revealed that her daughter is “beautifully musical,” noting that she plays the bass guitar and drums.

“She’s so cool. Way cooler than I ever was and am,” The woman in the window the star said, per Today.

In addition to learning instruments, Aviana also sets herself up as a performer.

“She just started singing because she has a lot of stage fright, but I think she’s gained a little confidence doing it through Zoom, which is weird,” Adams continued. “She sings with her band at School of Rock…she’s extremely musical.”

He enjoys art

Aviana seems to take after her father—a formally trained fine artist—showing a strong interest in the craft.

When she turned 11, Le Gallo posted a birthday tribute on Instagram and revealed that she had a special request.

“One of her BDay wishes was to go to the Art Gallery which reopened today in Ireland 🇮🇪,” he wrote alongside a series of photos, including Aviana sitting on a bench in front of an art exhibition.

She also stepped out with her mom to support her dad’s 2020 exhibit opening at Trigg Ison Fine Art Gallery in LA.

Put her celebrity mom to shame

Despite having an award-winning actress as a mom, Aviano gets embarrassed every now and then.

While appearing on The Late Show with Seth Meyers In 2021, Adams revealed that she started learning TikTok dances, specifically the “Fancy Like” that Walker Hayes created with his daughter.

Meyers asked if she could show off some of the moves from it, to which she replied, “I can try,” before singing the chorus and hitting the signature choreography.

“It’s not embarrassing for my daughter at all, what I just did,” Adams said. “I think the word she uses is ‘creepy,’ but she’s patient with me. I’ve embarrassed her for 11 great years and more to come.”

She made her debut on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival

In September 2024, Aviana walked her first red carpet while attending the premiere of her mom’s movie night bitch at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“I think I want her to know about my experience as a mother, how much it enriched my life and made me the woman I am today,” Adams told PEOPLE while talking about her daughter at TIFF. “I keep telling her that, but it’s the truth and I’m glad she’s here tonight to celebrate with me.”
