All About Kaia Gerber’s Famous Parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber

With parents like Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, it should come as no surprise that Kaia Gerber has a successful modeling career.

Crawford is a model who rose to fame in the 1980s and 90s and soon became known as one of the most popular supermodels of all time. During her career, she appeared in numerous advertising campaigns, commercials and magazine covers. In addition to modeling, Crawford also dabbled in acting, launched her own cosmetics and furniture line, and did charity work.

Rande is a former model, but is now better known for his business ventures. First of all, he worked in the nightlife and hotel space and co-founded the tequila brand, Casamigos Tequila, with his longtime friend George Clooney.

Crawford and Rande have been happily married since 1998 and have two children, Kaia and Presley Gerber. Cindy and Rande met in the early 90s through a mutual friend. The couple married on May 29, 1998 in an intimate ceremony on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Crawford wore a John Galliano mini dress and told Harper’s Bazaar in 2015 that the wedding was “supposed to be secret”. She added that they got married in front of family and friends and that it was “so special”.

Although not in the limelight like his sister, Presley is also a model. In addition to working for luxury fashion brands, in 2018 he appeared on the cover of L’Officiel Hommes.

When Kaia and Presley first started modeling, they often worked together.

“I love working with him and every time we book a job together I get excited,” Kaia told PEOPLE in a 2017 interview. “In the beginning, when we were starting out, we would often shoot together and just be there for each other, which is important, especially at the beginning in such a scary industry – to have someone you feel comfortable with. ”

In 2018, Presley starred in a Pepsi commercial with Crawford. It aired during Super Bowl LII and was a special moment for Crawford. “We drove to work together, we shared a trailer, and just like the mom watching his performance, I was a proud theater mom standing next to the monitor,” she told PEOPLE.

In an April 2023 interview with PEOPLE, Crawford shared some insight into her relationship with Rande, saying the way they share chores and household responsibilities is “more traditional.”

“I wanted to joke and say that I can hardly get him to pick up a wet towel, which is partially true, but I will say if something around the house needs fixing – he will fix it if he knows how,” she said. . “We’re pretty good at dividing up life’s responsibilities.” She further said that she handles more groceries, menu planning and scheduling.

Not only do Kaia and Crawford look like twins, but they’ve often been seen together and talked about how much they love and respect each other.

In November 2023, the two attended the Planet Omega Fashion Panel and Cocktail Party in NYC to celebrate Crawford’s partnership with Omega. At another Planet Omega event that same month, Kaia spoke to PEOPLE about their relationship.

“I feel like we’ve formed a really strong bond and friendship beyond just the mother-daughter dynamic, which has been so fun for me over the last few years,” Kaia said. “She’s a cool mom and she still embarrasses me all the time,” she added. “But it’s good! It brings me back to earth… I probably embarrass her all the time too.”

In September 2022, the couple went to Burning Man together, an experience Crawford explained as “way outside of our comfort zone.” The two also regularly take photos together where they look like twins, whether they’re wearing the same clothes or something very similar.
