All About Sophie Thatcher's Twin Ellie Thatcher (And Their Artistic Bond)

Ellie’s twin Sophie Thatcher is one of her biggest inspirations.

Sophie and Ellie spent their childhood in Evanston, Ill., a suburb located not far from Chicago. Both attended Evanston Township High School.

“There weren’t a lot of Mormons in Chicago growing up,” Sophie said Hunger magazine in 2022. “I grew up expecting everyone to be Mormon, and no one was. It isolated me and my twin even more.”

Growing up, the twins were always creative together. As they grew up, Sophie pursued acting, while her twin focused on the visual arts such as painting, photography, music and video.
