Nikita Kuzmin joined Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer in 2021 and has become a firm part of the family.
The ballroom and Latin dance pro has been roped into the BBC dance competition with impressive credentials after previously appearing in the German version Strictly appointed Let’s dance.

His first series on Strictly he got off to a great start when paired with Tilly Ramsay. The dance duo delighted the judges, the audience and the viewers at home with their performances and made it to the tenth week.
In 2022, Nikita, 25, was paired with Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds and they made it to week seven. This year, Nikita dances in his first all-male partnership after being paired with West End star i Bad education actor, Layton Williams.

Who is the Strictly Nikita star dating?
Nikita Kuzmin is currently in a relationship with Charlie Backshall, who viewers may know from her popular sex podcast, Hotlines.

The 21-year-old podcaster hails from Perth, Australia, but after confirming her relationship with a professional dancer, she deleted her TikTok and retired her podcast page. You can read more about Charlie here.
Who has strictly professional dancer Nikita dated in the past?
Prior to his relationship with podcaster Charlie, Nikita was in a relationship with fellow ballroom and Latin American dancer, Nicole Wirt. The couple were together for five years and reportedly shared a flat in London, but have mostly kept their relationship out of the limelight.
However, in September 2022, Nikita and Nicole decided to separate. At the time, it was reported that Nikita wanted to put all his focus on the season that year Strictly. Not only that, Nicole was stationed in Germany and the distance was becoming difficult with their busy schedules.
Like Nikita, Nicole enjoyed success as a dancer. She previously worked as a designer and choreographer, and in July 2022 she toured the UK with another Strictly stars for the stage, here come the boys.
What did Nikita say about his journey on Strictly?
Nikita, who is teamed up with actor Layton Williams on the show, is clearly thrilled to be dancing in an all-male pair this year. After their first live show last week, where they performed Samba, Nikita said on Instagram: “First week of Samba. Awesome! What a way to start the season. Let’s keep pushing like this.”
