Allen Iverson's 5 Children: All About Tiaura, Allen II, Isaiah, Messiah and Dream

Although Allen Iverson retired from the NBA in 2013, he is still a member of his father’s team.

The former Philadelphia 76ers player is the father of five children. Allen shares his children, Tiaura, Allen II, Isaiah, Messiah and Dream, with his ex-wife Tawanna Taylor.

The retired NBA player took to social media to say that he loves being part of the “fraternity of fathers.” He commented on Instagram in 2017, adding: “I’m the best dad in the world because they said so!”

Allen’s five children were present when he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. The basketball star acknowledged his “babies” individually in his emotional speech at the ceremony and thanked them for being his “crutch” in his career.

“When I had bad losses, I didn’t play well, you know, the media treated me like my whole career, I always came home and forgot all about it after seeing you all,” he said. “So thanks for being my crutch and I love you all very much.”

Allen and his then-wife Tawanna welcomed their first child, daughter Tiaura Iverson, on December 16, 1994.

In his 2016 Hall of Fame speech, the proud papa called his firstborn “Honey Boo Boo aka Daddy Send Me Some Money.” The remark caused laughter from Tiaura and the audience.

Allen celebrated his eldest daughter’s 29th birthday in 2023 with a touching tribute on Instagram. Along with a carousel of pictures and a video of Tiaura, Allen wrote, “I’m extremely proud of you and your maturation over the years.”

He continued: “None of us are perfect. Just keep working on being the best version of you. Happy 29th birthday forever baby girl daddy!”

In 1998, Allen and Tawanna welcomed their second child, a son, Allen Iverson II.

In his speech at the Hall of Fame, the NBA star expressed his love for his son, whom he called “The Two”. “I love you,” Allen told him. “I’m proud of you.”

As a child, Allen II was pictured with his father at a preseason game and at the 2003 FIBA ​​Americas Men’s Basketball Olympic Qualifying Tournament. The basketball star playfully pinched his son’s cheek after the United States beat Venezuela.

More recently, Allen II has joined his father at events, including a Reebok X Packer Shoes launch party honoring Allen in New York City in September 2016.

According to his LinkedIn page, Allen II studied at El Camino College in Torrance, California between 2018 and 2020.

Allen and Tawanna welcomed their third child, a son, Isaiah Rahsaan Iverson, in August 2003.

Isaiah was overcome with emotion as his father spoke about him at the 2016 Hall of Fame ceremony. Allen revealed at the event that they call Isaiah “Professor” because he’s “so smart.”

“Around the house, when something needs to be done or fixed, his mom will say, ‘Go ask Isaiah. He’s going to show you how to do it,” Allen said in his remarks. “[You’re] smart man and i’m proud of you. And follow your dreams and keep doing what you’re doing, man. I’m proud of you.”

Alen celebrated his son’s graduation in 2022. “Congratulations on finishing what you started. This is just one of the many journeys you will go through life,” he wrote on Instagram. “Our family is extremely proud of you. Whatever you decide to do in life, follow through and do it. CLASS OF 2022.”

Allen and Tawanna welcomed their fourth child, daughter Messiah Lauren Iverson, on August 15, 2005.

In a statement after Messiah’s birth, the family said: “Mom, dad, sister Tiaura and brothers Allen II and Isaiah Rahsaan, along with baby Messi, are all doing well.”

Messiah was seen wiping away tears as her father spoke fondly of her at the 2016 Hall of Fame ceremony.

The retired basketball player called his daughter his “sissy”. on social media in a post celebrating her 16th birthday in 2021, a nickname he repeated in his Hall of Fame speech.

“You are so great. I’m so proud of you,” Allen said of Messi in the speech. “I love you so much and you make me so happy.”

Alen was a proud dad in 2019 when his daughter graduated from elementary school. The Olympic bronze medalist congratulated his little girl in a post on Instagram and wished her luck on her next trip to high school.

“Graduating with your best friend must be nice! #Honorandloyalty,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself posing between his daughter and her friend.

Messiah hasn’t shared much content on her own Instagram page, but she did post photos of herself on her network in April and August 2024.

Allen and Tawanna welcomed their fourth child, daughter Dream Iverson, in October 2008.

“I love her very much. From the time she was born, she had to sleep with her daddy,” Allen recalled in his speech at the Hall of Fame ceremony. “He has his own room and his own bed, but he has to sleep with dad.”

Alen called his youngest child “twin” and “mini me” on Instagram.

Like his older children, the former basketball player is proud of Dream. Allen shared a snap of his youngest child holding her 2019 promotion certificate, captioning it: “Congratulations to my baby girl Dream! Daddy is so proud of you. #High school.”
