Alyssa Farah Griffin says everything is fine between her and her View co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.
After an unexpected pregnancy question Thursday during a live chat about Utah Sen. Mitt Romney’s decision not to run for re-election in 2024, Farah Griffin opened up about the moment on Behind the table podcast, adding that she took the question as a compliment.
As she laughed at the unprovoked question, she began to paint the scene of the day, noting that her mother-in-law and grandmother were in the front row to watch her, which only seemed to add to the tension of the discussion.
“If there are two people in my life today who want me to be pregnant more than anyone, it’s them, so it’s the happiest moment,” the former White House strategic communications director explained, before crediting her makeup artist for her radiant glow.

Farah Griffin, 34, said Viewproducer Brian Teta and listeners who believe the EGOT winner didn’t hurt her curiosity. “Wow, she thinks out loud sometimes, and I took that as a compliment – to shine,” she said. “She’s so cute.”
“During the break, she was apologizing to me and giving me the heart sign,” said Farah Griffin. “That’s what makes the show fun. It is completely unpredictable. I thought we were talking about Mitt Romney, but then we talked about my future pregnancy plans — which again, big news, I’m not pregnant right now.”
The aunt jokingly asked if Farah Griffin wanted to make an “official statement” about the speculation. He then pointed out that they are all part of a live and unscripted show.

“Literally during the commercial break I was getting messages from reporters like, ‘Do you want to answer this?’ “I used to answer questions about there being a missile attack in Afghanistan, and now I said, ‘No, I’m not going to comment on my fake pregnancy right now,'” Farah Griffin said as she continued to laugh off the incident.
The two of them stuck to it Purple the actress apologized for asking.
“Whoopi said to me afterwards, ‘It just crossed my mind, I don’t know what happened. It was like a vision,’ and she felt like it just came out of her,” the executive producer explained.

Whenever it’s time to announce her pregnancy, Farah Griffin already knows how she plans to share the news, she said.
“I’ll definitely blurt it out if and when I’m pregnant. I’m definitely going to interrupt Whoopi to let her know,” she said on the podcast.
The aunt called Goldberg’s remarks “out of the ordinary” before stating that she was Sister Act star is usually the one to warn Farah Griffin about revealing “too much personal information on the show.”
“I guarantee if I had told her in private that I was pregnant, her advice would have been, ‘Wait until you’re ready to tell people.’ So that’s the funniest thing about it,” added Farah Griffin. “She would never just shout it on the air. But listen, that’s what makes the show interesting.”
