It’s been 14 years since she was released from an Italian prison for the crime she had not committed, Andamando Knox, 37, says she has now given up trying to convince every person that she is innocent.
“The person they accused [of the crime] There is no, “” Knox tells people that they are portrayed as a killer and a sex deviant in a sensational trial over the shocking death of his roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia in Italy in 2007.

But in his new memoir Free: My search for meaning (March 25) Knox writes about letting the attempt to control his narrative – and instead try to return, embrace happiness and love, and even find forgiveness.

“If people have a picture of you and it’s false, you want to clean things. But I won’t try to try to fall into the mind of every single person who has a crazy idea of me, because it’s impossible,” she says.
Instead, he is thinking of doing something that is likely to shock people.
“I love writing. I like to be a mom,” she says about her life now. “But one thing I would love to be most of my life is comedy.”
She continues, “I love comedy. People simply do not think of me in comic conditions because I am in their minds associated with the tragedy and because there is a lot of work I do to a large extent or advocate for the reform of the criminal judiciary or write about some really deep, heavy, heavy truths.”
He adds, “But [I know about ] the absurdity of life and how to talk to go through things. One chapter in my book is completely dedicated to humor and what it means to me and why it is such a strong influence in my life, “she says.
“So what I want to do is one day want to write a special comedy. So be up to date!”

In the meantime, she continues to work with a network of innocence and talks to others who are wrongly closed and trying to bring back their lives. She says her work in that empire treated – and also shocking.
“I got to know the world that I didn’t even know there was,” she says to discover how much other people were wrongly closed in the United States
She adds that she is grateful every day for being alive.
“I’m so happy to be alive right now,” she says, noting that she could easily be the house that night when her apartment broke and Kercher was killed. Rudy Guede was convicted of murder.
“I’m happy to tell my story. I’m so happy to have children. Women who are wrong do not usually go out in time to have children. I’m one of the few women I know who has. Bonker is how happy I am,” Knox says.
