American Idol’s Jax Celebrates Bachelorette Party in Costa Rica! See the Photos (Exclusive)

American Idol alum Jax had a bachelorette party to remember!

The 27-year-old singer, who competed on season 14 of the singing competition show, traveled with a group of friends to Costa Rica to celebrate her upcoming wedding to fiance Braverijah Gregg.

Alaska Airlines has provided flights for the party-goers and hosted them in their special lounge before boarding. During their tropical getaway, the group stayed at the Stay in Tamarindo vacation condo, where they enjoyed meals prepared by a private chef from Belly Fed Better.

Activities included boat trips, swimming, sunbathing and exploring the stunning scenery.

Jax, whose real name is Jaclyn Miskanic, announced her engagement on Instagram in January. “We’re officially engaged!” she wrote, alongside a video set to sound of her singing her song “Ring Pop.”

“I got to marry my best friend. And as much as I love this ring…I’ll always be a Ring Pop,” she added.

The video featured a flashback of Jax and Gregg — who is the director and photographer — cuddling on the couch while Jax shows off the Ring Pop on his finger. “How the New Year began in our one-room apartment in 2021,” the text said.

The broadcast then cut to footage of Gregg’s surprise New Year’s Eve proposal. She could be seen leading Jax into a hotel room decorated with a trail of rose petals and dozens of candles. Jax seemed overcome with emotion as Gregg knelt down and presented her with a beautiful diamond sprinkler.

“Is that a yes? Yes. That’s a yes,” she wrote over the video.

It was a big night for Jax, as she also performed live in New York’s Times Square Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest broadcast.

In April 2022, Jax shared the story of how she and Gregg met — in song form! “I was on a date and you were on a date,” she sang in the Instagram clip. “But when we caught our dates kissing, we were like, ‘Okay. Great.'” They ended up leaving the party together, and the rest is history.

Jax, who released a new single this year called “Cinderella Snapped,” was one of the final three contestants on her season American Idol in 2015. Nick Fradiani finally took the title that year.

In June 2022, Jax released the single “Victoria’s Secret”, which earned the singer her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100. The song peaked at number 35 on the chart and was also certified gold in the US
