‘America’s Got Talent’ Names Its New Champion! See Who Won Season 18

American talent officially crowned the new champion!

After weeks of intense competition, trainer Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane were named season 18 winners in the highly anticipated finale on NBC on Wednesday night.

The dog trainer and his loyal canine companion walked away with the $1 million grand prize and the main event in the set American talent Presents the Superstars Live show at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Adrian and his border collie proved to be instant crowd pleasers right from the start AGT a journey.

For their audition, the dynamic duo — who have performed together all over the world — showcased a variety of impressive tricks set to Meghan Trainor’s “Better When I’m Dancing.”

They impressed the judges again in their live performance, during which they performed a routine set covering Smash Mouth’s “I’m a Believer” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” They received standing ovations and unanimous praise.

“I think this is the best performance we’ve seen tonight in terms of going from audition to live,” said judge Simon Cowell. “This was live, and it was a tricky routine. She was amazing.”

“I think Hurricane is ready for Vegas,” fellow judge Sofía Vergara added enthusiastically, unwittingly teasing what was to come.

Then, in Tuesday’s finale, the duo pulled out all the tricks for a performance to Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” and even enlisted Vergara to help them with a point.

Adrian and Hurricane were up against a fierce talent pool, which included 10 other promising candidates: synchronized dance group Murmuration, stand-up comedian Ahren Belisle, singer-musician Putri Ariani, duo Ramadhani Brothers, magician Anna DeGuzman, singer Lavender Darcangelo, dance the group Chibi Unity, the Mzansi Youth Choir, the 82nd Airborne Division Choir and the all-female Japanese dance group Avantgardey.

During the finals on Wednesday, the top 5 artists such as Ramadhani Brothers, Putri Ariani, Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, Anna DeGuzman and Murmuration were announced.

Although the Mzansi Youth Choir did not make it into the top 5, shortly after their elimination they found out that Coldplay had invited them to perform live with them at their upcoming show.

Then the Ramadhani Brothers finished in fifth place, Putri Ariani in fourth, Murmuration in third, and magician Anna DeGuzman in second.

‘America’s Got Talent’ Announces New ‘Fantasy League’ Spinoff — And Mel B Returns As Judge!

In addition to the contestants, Wednesday’s final show boasted several notable guests, including pop and R&B singer Jason Derulo, musician John Batiste, singer Leona Lewis, Iron safe‘s Cat Cora, legendary singer-songwriter Diane Warren, the band Thirty Seconds to Mars and AGT winner of season 17 of The Mayyas.

Each of the contestants got the chance to perform with one of the guests for the last time on AGT the stage.
