Amy Robach and Andrew Shue’s Relationship Timeline

Amy Robach and Andrew Shue’s marriage is over.

The couple reportedly divorced in August 2022, and a few months later Robach was seen holding hands with her now-ex GMA3 co-host, TJ Holmes.

“There were rumors that they had an affair about a year ago,” a source told PEOPLE of Robach and Holmes, who was previously married to attorney Marilee Fiebig. “A lot of people believed there might have been some truth to it because you could see there was a mutual affection there. But they all put it down to friendship in the end because they always said they were both happily married.”

Robach and Shue married in 2010 and raised a blended family. The journalist with ex-husband Tim McIntosh has two daughters, Ava and Annie, while the actor with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney has three sons, Nate, Aidan and Wyatt. Robach and Shue affectionately call their brood “ShueBachians.”

Shue is now dating Holmes’ ex-wife, Fiebig, according to several sources.

Robach and Shue first met at a book party in April 2009 and were reportedly introduced by friends. Later in the month, they sparked dating rumors when they were spotted walking hand-in-hand down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, laughing and kissing.

September 2009: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue get engaged

Shortly after meeting, Robach and Shue became engaged in 2009. Although the exact date remains unclear, a spokesperson Today confirmed to PEOPLE on Sept. 27 that the proposal had taken place the week before.

The engagement followed shortly after their divorces. At the time, a source said they had been separated from their ex-spouses for about a year before they started dating that spring.

February 6, 2010: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue get married

Robach and Shue were married in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the Hudson River in New York. This marked each of their second marriages.

“It was the most beautiful night in every way,” Shue and Robach told PEOPLE at the time. “Despite the snow, high winds, delayed flights and trains, all guests stayed the night to share our new beginning.”

It was a special occasion for Robach, who walked down the aisle on her 37th birthday. Shue’s mother, Anne Harms, officiated the ceremony, and the two wrote their own vows.

In October 2013, Robach made the shocking discovery that she had breast cancer after undergoing a live mammogram as part of GMAA pink initiative for October to help encourage viewers to check out. In the years that followed, the diagnosis took a toll not only on her health, but also on her relationship.

Although Shue was by her side as she underwent a bilateral mastectomy and eight grueling rounds of chemotherapy, the couple struggled to make their relationship work. “We were learning how to live with each other and raise kids together,” Robach told PEOPLE at the time.

While she said “it was a tough few months,” Robach revealed that they were “the best they’ve ever been” when she found out she was cancer-free. “We knew that if we just went back to what our relationship was and were honest about our fears, then we could get through it,” Shue said.

June 7, 2017: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue Compare Their Family to ‘The Brady Bunch’

During the interview with Us WeeklyRobach and Shue opened up about their blended family dynamic and explained why they’ve been described as a modern-day “Brady group.”

The only thing missing? “We don’t have Alice,” Robach joked. – That is my biggest complaint. Meanwhile, Shue added: “She does everything! The other night it was 10 o’clock and she was doing laundry.”

The couple posed for photos together on the red carpet at the epic 2019 Greenwich International Film Festival Anniversary Party. The event was held at the Capitol Theater in New York City and included a concert featuring Kesha.

November 3, 2019: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue run the New York City Marathon

Robach and Shue ran the 2019 marathon in support of the New York Road Runner’s Team for Kids, an organization that raises funds for youth programs. “When I found out race day was the same week as my six-year cancer anniversary, it felt good,” Robach told PEOPLE in 2019.

A year earlier, a breast cancer survivor climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to mark her fifth year of diagnosis. “Instead of living in fear, I choose to live in defiance of fear,” she continued Good morning America in that time.

“Andrew and I stick together from start to finish,” she told PEOPLE ahead of the race. “Our goal is to enjoy every mile.” Both covered 26.2 miles in four hours and 16 minutes.

October 31, 2020: Andrew Shue and Amy Robach Go on a Halloween Run

After Robach won the race following her terrifying health journey, Shue posted a sweet tribute on her Halloween Instagram. “Through the rain – by the river – running to celebrate life,” his Instagram caption began.

“Amy shows us all how to live – every day – We are the happiest!” he continued.

Shue shared his Halloween costume on Instagram in which he and Robach appeared together Top Gun. “Miss the 80s Goose,” he captioned the post.

November 7, 2020: Andrew Shue posts a PDA-filled pic with Amy Robach

Shue uploaded a photo of a sweet moment with his wife in Nantucket, Massachusetts. The picture shows a couple kissing with a beautiful sunset in the background.

“Amazing time and view with my baby – take nothing for granted,” he wrote in the caption.

October 26, 2021: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue release a joint book

The couple is a co-author Better together, a children’s book inspired by their blended family. They wrote the book with the hope of teaching others with similar experiences about compromise and learning to appreciate other people’s differences.

Robach told PEOPLE that the idea for Better together started when she and Shue first brought their families together and used the animals in their backyard as a metaphor for their new blended family. In the book, the story follows a family of squirrels and a family of squirrels.

March 10, 2022: Amy Robach and Andrew Shue attend the ADAPT Leadership Awards

The pair stepped out for the 2022 ADAPT Leadership Awards at Cipriani in New York where they received the titular honor that evening. The award was presented to them by David Muir.

Meanwhile, they haven’t shied away from PDA on the red carpet before. Robach was filmed kissing his wife on the cheek as she smiled widely for the cameras.

November 30, 2022: Amy Robach deactivates her Instagram account over TJ Holmes romance ‘rumors’

Robach and Holmes have shut down their Instagram accounts — just hours after photos surfaced of them holding hands in a car while vacationing in upstate New York and cozying up at a New York bar.

“There were rumors about a year ago that they were having an affair,” a source told PEOPLE. “A lot of people believed that there might be some truth to it, because you could see there was a mutual affection there. But they all put it down to friendship in the end because they always said they were both happily married.”

December 1, 2022: Source Says Amy Robach Got Closer to TJ Holmes After Split From Andrew Shue

An insider told PEOPLE that Holmes and Robach’s relationship grew stronger as Robach recovered from her split from Shue.

“Amy was going through pain and TJ was there for her and helped her, and that’s when they started something,” the source said.

Another source told PEOPLE that the two only started dating after each of their spouses divorced. “It was about two adults who were separated. They both broke up with their spouses in August within a few weeks of each other,” the insider said. – The relationship started only after that.

November 1, 2023: Amy Robach and TJ Holmes make their relationship official on Instagram

After a year of dating, Robach and Holmes took their romance public on Instagram — and announced Amy & TJ podcast.

“How’s this for Instagram official? #silentnomore,” they captioned the joint post.

November 5, 2023: Sources say Andrew Shue and TJ Holmes’ ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, are in a relationship
