Amy Schumer Posts Photo from Gynecologist's Office with Her Feet in Stirrups: 'I'm Fine'

Amy Schumer is not okay with being honest about her health.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the 43-year-old actress shared a candid photo of herself in a gynecologist’s office wearing a blue hospital gown and sunglasses while holding on to a breathing machine with her legs in stirrups.

Although the comedian did not specify the reason for the visit to the doctor, she posted a photo on her Instagram Stories, writing: “I’m fine. You?” and her main Instagram feed with the caption “You’re adjusting well. You?”

In the comments section, some of her famous friends joked about the photo, with Sascha Betty Seinfeld commenting, “Can I have that,” and Michael Abbott Jr. wrote: “This breathalyzer seems a little invasive, doesn’t it?”

Schumer has often spoken openly about her health.

In February, following speculation about why she had a “puffier” face during her promotional tour for the second season Life and Bethshe revealed that she had been diagnosed with Cushing’s syndrome.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition occurs when there is too much cortisol (the primary stress hormone) in a person’s body for an extended period of time, leading to possible symptoms including weight gain, high blood pressure and bone loss. Treatment options include medication, radiation therapy, or surgery.

She revealed the news in Jessica Yell’s “News Not Noise” newsletter, expressing that she felt “reborn” after discovering the cause of her symptoms.

“While I was doing on-camera press for my Hulu show, I was also in the MRI machines for four hours straight, my veins were closing because of the amount of blood being drawn, and I was thinking that I might not be around to see my son grow up,” he recalled. Schumer.
