Margaret Qualley has a lot of support at her latest film premiere.
Tuesday Drive the puppets away at the premiere party in New York, Qualley, who stars in the film, was accompanied not only by her husband Jack Antonoff, but also by her mother, Andie MacDowell.
Qualley and MacDowell shared some sweet mother-daughter moments backstage at the event and wore matching glamorous looks. MacDowell, 65, kept it classy and classic in a black turtleneck and berry lips, pulling her famous gray locks back into a ponytail. Qualley, 29, continued her chic Chanel streak as brand ambassador wearing a long black lace dress with a bare bottom, teamed with a white flat balloon and a large black bow in her hair, a look that has become her signature.

Qualley, 29, who married Antonoff in August 2023 in New Jersey, has a cheerleader in her mother, who told Drew Barrymore last month that she couldn’t be happier with her daughter’s marriage.

“He’s so sweet. They’re really good together….they’re fun and they get along really well,” she said.

When Barrymore asked how MacDowell felt watching her daughter walk down the aisle, she described the celebration as “beautiful.”
“I feel very fortunate that she ended up with someone who is right for her,” MacDowell continued. “She’s an interesting character; she needed someone who could match her. And she’s brilliant, she’s very artistic.”

Margaret Qualley embarks on an action-packed journey in the trailer for Ethan Coen’s film Dolls for takeaway
Drive the puppets away also starring Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon. Qualley plays a woman named Jamie who hires a car with her friend Marian (Viswanathan) to drive to Tallahassee, Florida. They accidentally become involved in a plot by a group of criminals to transport an important suitcase with an unidentified package inside after a mysterious object turns out to be in the trunk of the car they hired.
After Jamie and Marian discover the package, a group of criminals led by Domingo’s character — who appear to be working for Damon — begin hunting them. Fortunately, they seem to find an ally in a cop (Feldstein) they meet along the way as the chase turns into a game of cat and mouse.
The film arrives in theaters on February 23.
