Kourtney Kardashian Remembers Her Late Father Ahead of What Would Have Been His 80th Birthday

Kourtney Kardashian remembers her father, Robert Kardashian Sr., ahead of his 80th birthday.

“What I would give to sing him happy birthday and hear one of his funny jokes just one last time,” the Lemme founder wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

The family patriarch was born on February 22, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, and died at the age of 59 on September 30, 2003 – almost two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer.

“He had the best sense of humor and made life so much fun, like every car ride, every meal, watching movies (we had a movie date every Wednesday night and he would show me an old movie every week)… he made it. is all so fun and special,” she continued. “Happy birthday to the best dad in the world.”

The post included photos of Kourtney posing as a child with her dad and many messages of support in the comments section.

“The best dad ever was ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼,” her mom Kris Jenner wrote. The family matriarch was married to Robert Sr. from 1978 to 1991. In addition to Kourtney, the two had daughters Kim and Khloé, and son Robert Kardashian Jr.

“The best dad in the world!!! Tomorrow is his birthday ❤❤❤ he is our angel,” Khloé added in the comments.

In the 2022 episode The KardashiansKris revealed that Kourtney’s husband, Travis Barker, went to Robert Sr.’s grave to ask for his blessing to marry his daughter.

“He was asking for her hand and I was like, literally, I want to cry now. It was so sweet and so tender. And then he said he went to your dad’s grave and asked your dad [for permission]and I just lost it,” Kris said during the conversation with Kim.

“It’s all good luck, I just wish your dad was here to see it. I can hardly believe it’s his first time getting married,” Kris said.

Kourtney and Travis were legally married on May 15, 2022, and held a ceremony that included family and friends on May 22, 2022 in Portofino, Italy. They welcomed their first child together, Rocky Thirteen Barker, in November 2023.
