His colleagues Brett and Angel Renall and Benjamin Blackwell announced the sad news in a post on Instagram.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have come together to confirm the passing of Andrew Jury,” their statement read.

“We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a show that leaves us intricately connected for life.”

It went on to say: “…Andrew was always friendly and was the spirit of fun throughout our experience together and really valued his time on the show.”

They added: “At this time our entire cast would like to extend their deepest sympathy and love to his family – Ben, Angel, Brett, Vicky, Haydn, Lacey, Claire, Dom, Aaron, Luke, Belinda.”

Fellow contestant Haydn Daniels added: “Everyone on our show is in shock.”

He continued: “I could never imagine being in such a situation to lose a son, let alone one so young. He had a lot of life left.”

WHAT IS MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT?

Married At First Sight is an international reality TV show created in Denmark in 2013, where it is known as Gift ved første blik.

It has since seen versions in 23 other countries, including the UK, US, France, Italy, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.

In the series, you can see how single people agree to a provocative proposal: they legally marry a stranger as soon as they meet for the first time.

After the wedding, they spend the night in a hotel before going on their honeymoon.

During each series, the couples then return home together and live as a married couple.

And finally, in the last episode, they decide whether to stay together or divorce.
