Angel Reese Slams Critics of Her Recent Shooting Performance: 'We Good'

Angel Reese continues to have a record rookie year in the WNBA, which is why she hasn’t looked kindly on critics who have been judging her recent misses on the court.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday, August 25, Reese, 22, virtually slammed her critics, bluntly writing: “If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. We are fine!”

The Chicago Sky player is on the receiving end of negative comments on social media for grabbing offensive rebounds due to her misses.

Per Sports Illustrated, The Sky’s loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday was the second straight game in which Reese shot 25% from the field despite finishing with 11 points and 22 rebounds – the last time she shot above 50% was on July 7th against the Seattle Storm when the Sky lost 84-71.

However, the missed shots are just a minor occurrence in an otherwise excellent debut season for Reese. Despite an 86-68 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, August 18, Reese still managed to make WNBA history.

As she collected her fourth straight double-double during the game, Reese officially became the fastest player in league history to reach 20 double-doubles, a feat she accomplished in just 27 games, according to Sports Illustrated.

Reese is currently averaging 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds on 39.8% shooting this season, per outlet.

Since being selected by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft in April, the former LSU star has had a record season to date. The first-year standout became the first rookie in league history to record a triple-double performance.

In July, it was announced that Reese was the latest WNBA star to join the growing 3-on-3 basketball league.

And she and the Sky will continue to battle to hold onto the final WNBA playoff spot in their final 11 games of the regular season.
