Angela Bassett exudes red carpet elegance at the Critics’ Choice Awards!

The acting legend, 65, looked divine as she arrived in a form-fitting black dress with glittering embellishments at the ceremony, where she presented the award for best supporting actor on Sunday.

Bassett wore a plunging neckline Pre-Fall 2023 black crepe dress with embroidered crystals and pearls by Pamela Roland. Her hair was styled in loose waves.

The recent Oscar winner kept her look sparkling as she wore a Suzanne Kalan Fine Jewelry embellished bracelet and a pair of Jewels Aficionado black and white diamond earrings.

Bassett was the epitome of movie star glamor at the Critics’ Choice Awards.

During the ceremony, Bassett presented Robert Downey Jr. with an award for his supporting role in the film Oppenheimer.

Last week, the actress received her own recognition at the 14th Governors Awards, where she accepted an honorary Oscar for her contribution to the film.

Bassett looked radiant at the event wearing a semi-sheer gold-embellished Dolce & Gabbana fishtail dress paired with Christian Louboutin heels. She completed the look with a pair of white gold diamond earrings and a white gold Aura diamond ring by Gismondi 1754 Jewelry.

In her acceptance speech, Bassett praised the black actresses who were “pioneers” before her, as well as those working alongside her today — including Viola Davis, Regina King, Jennifer Hudson and Octavia Spencer — as she spoke of the work that remains to be done do in maintaining diversity within the film industry.

“I proudly share this honor with the women who stand up when told to stand down, who speak up when silenced, who stand firm when told they are defeated,” she said. “These women represent those I have had the honor of portraying, as well as the everyday women who surround us and inspire us to keep striving.”
