I’m Famous star Josie Gibson’s ex-fiancé says she swung a machete during an argument.

He said Josie “was hot and cold” during their five-year romance.
Daytime TV favorite Josie was “screaming and angry” as she picked up a machete during an argument with her fiance.
Josie, tipped to win I’m A Celeb after charming fans with her down-to-earth personality and quick wit, fell out with Luke Sanwoo shortly before the end of their whirlwind five-year relationship.
Recalling the furious attack, Luke said: “She picked up the machete I had in the bedroom.
“It was about a foot long. She shouted and was angry.
“I was shocked and amazed, but I didn’t feel in danger. I know she didn’t mean to harm me.”
Plumber Luke also told how he met Josie’s grandmother, who was dealing cocaine, and whom he says she resented him for something.
Mother-of-one Josie, 38, has been tipped as ITV’s next big star after covering for Holly Willoughby on the This Morning couch earlier this year.
Holly quit in October and Josie is a potential full-time replacement after her jungle career ends.
Luke says their on-and-off relationship began in 2011 shortly after Josie won the 11th series of Channel 4’s Big Brother.
He said: “We met at the SW4 house music festival on Clapham Common. She looked very attractive dressed in skinny jeans and a leopard print top.
“One of her friends mentioned she was on Big Brother but I had no idea who she was. We went back to her house and had fun and I ended up staying the night.
“After that we were inseparable. On our second date we went to Richmond Park and our photos ended up in the paper.
“That’s when I realized she was famous. She explained that she won Big Brother. She was great and really bubbly and I was very much in love. I felt like Josie came into my life at the right time.”
But Luke said the romance was put to the test when he met Josie’s grandmother Diane Gibson.
Diane was arrested in 1998 when she was caught with 2.9kg of cocaine, with an estimated street value of £240,000, in her car at the M4’s Membury services near Swindon.
In 2013, she was sentenced to four years in prison, three months for possession with intent to supply, plus three months for escape.
A judge at Bristol Crown Court took Diane’s ill health into account.
Luke said: “Josie’s grandmother was on crutches and needed help with medical things. She resented me from the beginning.
“She kept saying, ‘He’s only with you for the money.’ Josie seemed fed up with the situation, but she would joke about it.”
Luke claims that in 2013, Josie suggested they take their relationship to the next level.
He said: “I bought an engagement ring from a pawn shop in Acton High Street. It cost £125 and was a small silver cluster with dark diamonds.
“There were no proposals. We just announced that we are engaged.
“I thought, well, it’s part of her job and we have to do what we have to do.”
Luke and Josie moved into a £300,000 four-bedroom house in her hometown of Bristol, near where her mother lived in a static caravan.

Luke said: “We were talking about the children. She told me she wanted to have two boys and name them Ronnie and Reggie after the Kray family.
“It wasn’t my first choice of name for the child, but she said she wanted two little hassles. She couldn’t be joking because she later named her son Reggie.
“I was captivated by her and we spent great moments together with a lot of passion. But she ran hot and cold.
“One minute she’d be tearing my head off, the next she’d be ripping my clothes off. She’d also be openly flirtatious in front of me, which would be embarrassing.”
He claimed: “Josie kept kicking me out for trivial reasons knowing I was in another town and only had a few friends there.
“The last time she did that, I told her, ‘This won’t happen again.’ I moved into an apartment on the street for six months, but we didn’t break up.
“We saw each other from time to time and one day she applied to be a guest on a TV dating show.
“She told me, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not real.’ I tried not to watch it, but I saw a commercial for it where she’s walking down the road holding hands with some guy.
“That was the last straw. I started seeing someone else and she got really upset about it.”
In a 2016 interview, Josie said: “I don’t want to go back because he kicked me six times. I love him to the end, but I’m tired of being left.”
According to Luke, Josie “met a guy at the gym and started sending me pictures of them lying in bed.”
It was around this time, Luke says, that he was arrested with a machete.
Luke told The Sun on Sunday: “We had an argument about something. We had a machete because we used it to chop chicken for the barbecue.”
He said: “I emailed her afterwards in an attempt to clear the air.
“She accused me of running away with £700. She lent me money when I was a little tight, but she said, ‘Don’t worry because you’re doing all these magazine shoots with me.'”
This week viewers saw Josie leave the Bushtucker trial which involved spiders.
Luke confirmed: “Once we had a bird in the house and it went crazy. She hates spiders and is terrified of heights.” Luke is now engaged to the mother of his two children.
A source close to Josie said: “Josie was blown away when she first met Luke in 2011 and welcomed him into her life with open arms, but he betrayed her from the start and continued to be unfaithful.
“Josie discovered that Luke was constantly selling stories about her and therefore had to make the difficult decision to leave their relationship, which broke her heart.
“Luke also cheated on her with multiple women, and it was obvious he was only with her to make a quick buck.”
