Anjali Mehta Tendulkar was born on Friday, November 10, 1967 in Mumbai (age 55; as of 2022) and grew up in 75 Bhulabhai Desai Road, one of the most luxurious residential bungalows in Mumbai. Anjali dated Sachin for five years before getting married in 1995. Anjali said in an interview that she first met Sachin in 1990 when she went to pick up her mother at the Mumbai airport after he returned from a tour of England, where he Scored his first Test century. She had no idea who Sachin was and later her friend told her about Sachin. They later met at a mutual friend’s party, where they got to know each other. She was 22 and Sachin was 17 when they started dating. She came to Sachin’s house for the first time disguised as a reporter. During their relationship, she went to see the movie “Royal” with Sachin, who wore a fake beard and glasses to avoid attracting public attention and even arrived late; however, the public recognized him and they had to Leaving the theater midway through the movie. Sachin asked her to talk to both families (hers and Sachin’s) about their marriage, which she did and they got married in 1995 at a lavish function.

After completing her studies, she started working as a pediatrician at JJ Hospital, Mumbai. However, after marrying Sachin, she quit her job as a doctor and became a housewife to take care of her family. - Her marriage to Sachin Tendulkar attracted so much public attention that a cable TV operator offered Sachin Rs 40 lakh to broadcast his wedding live; however, he rejected the offer , calling marriage a private event.
- In October 2021, her name appeared in the Pandora documents along with Sachin and her father Anand as the beneficial owner (BO) of an offshore company called Saas International Limited, which was liquidated in 2016.
- She is an introvert who keeps a low profile and tries to maintain her privacy.
- Her family is closely related to the Nehru-Gandhi family and she had a personal relationship with Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi from childhood.
