Biography of Anthony Hamilton
Anthony Cornelius Hamilton was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 28, 1971. He has two siblings and grew up on Hemphill Street. He is the son of Pearl Hamilton, a single mother who struggled to raise her children. Hamilton spent his early formative years with his maternal grandmother as his father was rarely around. He was a member of the choir at South Mecklenburg High School. He has been singing in the church choir since childhood.
