Anurag Bhadouria is an Indian politician and the national spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party. He is the former sports minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh. He is the President of the Indian Grameen Cricket League (IGCL).

Derogatory remarks about Yogi Adityanath
In November 2022, BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai lodged a complaint against Anurag, alleging that Anurag had criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityana on a private news channel Yogi Adityanath and his late guru Mahant Awaidyanath made insulting comments.In this complaint, Bajpai alleged that Anurag said

This hurt the sentiments of Mahant Awaidyanath’s followers. An FIR was lodged against Anurag at Hazratganj police station under charges 153 (provocation with intent to cause riots), 153A (provocation of enmity between different groups on religious grounds), 295A (intentional malicious act with intent to outrage religious sentiments), IPC Section 505 (Publish or disseminate any statement, rumor or report intended to be inflammatory). After being asked to come to the police station, Anurag was on the run and applied for anticipatory bail to the High Court, but the court rejected his application.
Scuffle breaks out with BJP leader
In December 2018, Anurag was invited to participate in a debate on Zee News channel in Noida. In a heated argument, Anurag and BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia came to blows. got up. Gaurav Bhatia informed the police at the news channel’s premises and Anurag was taken into custody. Gaurav charged Anurag under sections 323 (punishment for intentionally causing hurt), 352 (punishment for assault or criminal violence other than gross provocation) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC. File an FIR.
