Anush Agarwalla is an Indian rider who has competed in many national and international equestrian competitions. He set several records for India, including becoming the first Indian to win an individual medal at the Asian Games.

Anush Agarwalla was born on Tuesday, November 23, 1999 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India (age 23; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Sagittarius. He developed an interest in horse riding during his childhood when his parents took him to the Tollygunge Club when he was 3 years old. At age 8, his mother signed him up for equestrian training and he began competing in local championships. At the age of 11, he began traveling regularly to New Delhi for equestrian training.

At 16, he moved to New Delhi to train more at the OREA stables under trainer Kapil Modi. However, at the age of 17, he moved to Germany to train under Olympian Hubertus Schmidt. He studied at La Martiniere Boys’ School in Kolkata till class 10 and later at Shri Ram School in New Delhi till class 12.

After moving to Germany, he dropped out of school and began studying online at the National Institute of Open Schooling. He subsequently studied for a BA in Business Economics at the University of Paderborn in Paderborn, Germany.

Anush Agarwalla began training in the equestrian sport of dressage, which involves horses performing rhythmic movements in an arena to the beat of music. He failed to qualify for the 2018 Asian Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He said in an interview that the period from October 2019 to December 2020 was very challenging for him because he was unable to qualify for many competitions. His first major achievement was qualifying for the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark.

He also participated in the Freestyle Grand Prix of the World Cup Central European League in Zakzów, Poland. He also plays for his own club RV Altenautal. Subsequently, he participated in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in 2023, winning many medals and setting many records for India.

In equestrian sports, the rider must establish a connection with the horse during the connection process. When Anush was training in Delhi, he used to ride a horse named Sontag. When training in Germany, he rode four horses, namely Manni, Sir Caramello Old, which is a gelding (castrated stallion) born in 2007, belonging to the Oldenburger (OLDBG) breed, and Loro Piano, a 2007 The gelding born in 2014 belongs to the Hanoverian (HANN) breed, while Etro is a stallion (male) born in 2014 and belongs to the Westphalian (WESTF) breed. In an interview, Anoush revealed that he feeds his horse, Sir Calamello, apples and carrots; however, the horse’s favorite food is raspberries.
