Aria started her journey as a trainee at GBK Entertainment from January 1, 2022 to February 11, 2023, determined to become a Korean artist. On November 29, 2022, the agency announced her as one of the five selected members of the upcoming girl group MEP-C, but she ultimately decided to leave the group in 2023 due to some personal reasons.

- She decided to get into K-pop while in high school. Aria explained that one time she saw BTS’s “Blood, Sweat and Tears” song while watching TV and was immediately blown away. She looked it up and started practicing. She even tried to audition before passing.
- Before her debut, Aria only rehearsed for 6 months. Yet, she practices every day and even practices on her own after practicing with a group.
- Alia revealed that she never wanted to do rap. It all happened while she was rapping in front of producers during her monthly review. She finds it difficult to rap in Korean because of her pronunciation.
